Zoom2u Technologies Limited has launched Drivers2u, a new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) marketplace designed to connect businesses and customers with local drivers. The platform aims to help local businesses and restaurants match with delivery drivers for free, reducing the often-exorbitant fees charged by some mainstream third-party delivery services. Drivers2u allows businesses to run their own self-managed delivery service by engaging drivers directly, reducing costs and owning the relationship with their customers.
Founder Steve Orenstein is encouraging restaurants to reassess their long-term relationship with high-cost mainstream food delivery apps and consider the possibility of running their own delivery service. By self-managing, businesses will only need to cover the cost of the drivers, and will own the relationship with their customers, rather than forgoing revenue and control to third parties.
“With Deliveroo’s departure from Australia bringing the hospitality delivery industry dangerously close to a monopoly, the launch of Drivers2u couldn’t have come at a better time,” said Steve Orenstein, Zoom2u Technologies Limited CEO and founder.
Drivers2u allows businesses and customers to post a job with a budget and receive offers from drivers to complete the job. Drivers who sign up to the marketplace will receive leads from customers and businesses specifically looking for drivers in their area. The service will remain free to both customers and drivers for an initial period whilst the marketplace builds scale. Eventually, the app will switch to a monthly subscription model for drivers, while customers will be charged advertising fees.
The platform aims to help businesses across Australia tackle deliveries by bridging the gap between customers and local drivers. The launch comes as a relief for local eateries and businesses looking for fast, reliable door-to-door delivery that doesn’t cost the earth. With the high fees charged by some mainstream delivery apps, many restaurants have been struggling to stay profitable. Drivers2u aims to help businesses cut costs and increase revenue by enabling them to run their own delivery service.
“Zoom2u has always been focused on creating solutions to connect people with deliveries that are fast, reliable and affordable, so it was a natural fit for us to extend our services into the restaurant delivery industry,” said Mr. Orenstein.
Drivers2u provides an innovative solution to businesses looking to build their own delivery fleet, improve customer satisfaction, and maximize profits. The platform is expected to attract more businesses and drivers in the coming months as it gains traction in the market.
