Vueroid (another South Korean dash cam brand) has announced a promotional period for its S1 4K Infinite dash cam, offering discounts of up to 22 per cent through Amazon across late March and early April.
The sale covers the full S1 4K Infinite product line, including single-channel, dual-channel and triple-channel configurations. The Spring Sale runs from 22 to 31 March, followed by an Easter Sale from 1 to 5 April, with the devices available through Amazon.
Low-Power Parking Mode A Key Selling Point
The S1 4K Infinite is built around what Vueroid describes as an always-on recording system, with a low-power parking mode that draws as little as 1mA. The feature is designed to keep the camera active while a vehicle is parked for extended periods without draining the car battery.
The parking surveillance capability is paired with 4K resolution on the front channel, with the dual and triple-channel models adding rear and interior coverage. Vueroid has pitched the system as a way for drivers to maintain continuous video documentation, both while driving and when the vehicle is unattended.
Proprietary Image Processing Sets The Hardware Apart
Vueroid is a brand of NC&, which the company describes as South Korea’s largest dash cam manufacturer. The parent company brings its own patented image signal processor (ISP) technology to the S1 4K, which Vueroid argues gives it more control over image quality than competitors relying entirely on third-party components.
Where most dash cam manufacturers are limited by the tuning options available from external sensor and processor suppliers, Vueroid’s in-house ISP allows adjustments across 18 different categories including brightness, sharpness and noise reduction.
The company notes that a single category in ISP tuning can produce up to 700,000 different image outcomes, a figure that illustrates the degree of fine-tuning available to its engineering team when calibrating video output.
“The S1 4K Infinite goes to the core of what users need in a car’s dashcam – video clarity to capture more data and AI technology built into the S1 4K’s Vueroid HUB app to restore license plate information,” the company outlined in its announcement.
AI-Powered Licence Plate Recovery
The S1 4K Infinite integrates with Vueroid’s HUB companion app, which uses AI processing to enhance and recover licence plate information from recorded footage. The feature is aimed at improving the usefulness of dash cam recordings in accident documentation and insurance claims.
The approach reflects a broader trend in the dash cam market, where manufacturers are increasingly layering software-based enhancements on top of hardware improvements to deliver more actionable footage to drivers and fleet operators.
Smart Thermal Management For Harsh Conditions
Vueroid has also built smart thermal management into the S1 4K Infinite, a feature designed to handle recording in extreme weather conditions. Dash cams mounted behind windscreens can be exposed to significant heat, particularly in markets like Australia where cabin temperatures climb during summer months.
The thermal management system is intended to keep the device operational without interrupting recording, addressing a common pain point for dash cam users in hotter climates.
