V2 AI Expands Into Perth And Makes Four Senior Appointments Amid Enterprise AI Demand

AI and data consultancy, V2 AI, has opened a Perth office and made four senior appointments as part of a push to broaden its national footprint.

The firm, which was founded in 2023 and operates across Asia Pacific, has appointed Richard Allen as Partner and Derek Bingham as Perth Director to lead its Western Australian operations. It has also brought on Holly Dean as Partner and Jean-Manuel Becker as Director, both based in Melbourne.

The expansion into Perth gives V2 AI a presence in Western Australia’s energy and resources market, adding to existing offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Perth appointments target resources sector

Partner, Richard Allen, joins V2 AI after more than a decade at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he most recently served as Global Account Manager working with large Australian enterprise customers. Before AWS, Allen spent more than two decades working with organisations in resources, construction and agriculture to align technology with business outcomes.

“Western Australian organisations are increasingly looking beyond AI experimentation towards enterprise deployment,” Allen stated. “V2 AI combines deep technical expertise with practical delivery capability, making it positioned to help customers realise value quickly and responsibly.”

Perth Director, Derek Bingham, brings more than 20 years of experience in software architecture, cloud engineering and developer leadership, with a recent focus on applying AI to enterprise software delivery.

Bingham most recently led engineering teams as a Principal Software Engineer at a major Australian bank, where he used AI tooling to modernise the core banking platform and upskill engineers. He previously spent more than eight years at AWS as both Senior Developer Advocate and Senior Partner Solutions Architect, helping organisations adopt cloud-native technologies. He has also held senior engineering leadership roles across financial services, consulting and technology.

At V2 AI, Bingham will work with organisations across Western Australia on modernising software delivery and building developer capability with AI.

Melbourne hires bolster national delivery

Partner, Holly Dean, joins V2 AI with more than 20 years of experience leading strategic partnerships, channel growth and enterprise sales across technology organisations including Salesforce, AWS, Microsoft, Sitecore and Stax. She has worked with brands on accelerating business expansion through compliant technology adoption.

At V2 AI, Dean will focus on AI capability uplift through strategic innovation and growth.

Director, Jean-Manuel Becker, brings more than three decades of engineering and leadership experience in technology and data modernisation. Most recently, as Principal Cloud Architect at AWS, he worked with organisations across energy, mining, aviation, public sector and financial services to build secure, governed digital foundations for AI.

“The best data and AI strategies start with business outcomes, not technology,” Becker outlined. “My focus at V2 AI is building enduring capability through secured architecture that scales and continues delivering value long after a project is complete.”

Anthropic workshops signal enterprise shift

The appointments come as V2 AI continues to run a series of Claude Code and Cowork workshops in partnership with Anthropic, delivered across Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Singapore. The sessions bring together technology leaders and executive stakeholders from Australian enterprises and reflect what V2 AI describes as a growing shift in market priorities, with leaders across sectors looking to operationalise AI across enterprise workflows.

CEO points to Western Australian opportunity

Founder and CEO of V2 AI, Craig Howe, described Perth as a significant opportunity as enterprise AI adoption accelerates across Western Australia’s resources, energy, government and commercial sectors.

The Perth office marks V2 AI’s fourth Australian location and follows the firm’s recent appointment of four other senior executives as it continues to build out its leadership team across Asia Pacific. The consultancy now operates out of six offices spanning Australia, Malaysia and Singapore.
