Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
Trend Micro has unveiled a cybersecurity framework for safeguarding agentic Ai systems across their full lifecycle, aligning with Nvidia’s Agentic Ai Safety blueprint and integrating security across data, infrastructure and models.
The initiative is anchored in Trend Micro’s Secure Ai Factory, which extends protections throughout the development, deployment and operational phases of enterprise Ai. The announcement coincided with the company’s deepening collaboration with Nvidia as organisations scale up their use of autonomous Ai agents.
Addressing Risks At Every Layer
Trend Micro’s Secure Ai Factory draws on its Trend Vision One platform and its Sovereign Private Cloud solution, aiming to provide security coverage across multiple domains including data pipelines, infrastructure, microservices, and user interactions.
Mick McCluney, Field Chief Technology Officer for ANZ at Trend Micro, said the growing adoption of agentic Ai makes security more urgent.
“Global organisations are racing to innovate with agentic Ai systems, and there’s a critical need to ensure the safety and security of these systems,” McCluney said. “The Nvidia Agentic Ai Safety blueprint provides an important enabling technology that works in conjunction with Trend’s threat intelligence to support safety across all phases of the Ai lifecycle – from model adoption, deployment and runtime protection.”
The system integrates Trend Cybertron, a large language model designed for cybersecurity applications, which can now be deployed via Nvidia’s universal LLM NIM microservices. Cybertron enables threat detection and response in real time, across cloud, hybrid and on-premise deployments.
Partnership Built On Shared Infrastructure Goals
Pat Lee, Vice President of Strategic Enterprise Partnerships at Nvidia, said embedding autonomous threat detection into enterprise Ai factories enables organisations to innovate securely.
“By integrating advanced cybersecurity directly into Ai factories with Trend Micro and Nvidia Agentic Ai blueprints, enterprise data, models and workloads can remain resilient and trusted,” he said.
The Secure Ai Factory also includes technical measures to prevent data poisoning, support model assessment and training, and enforce privacy and compliance standards through tools like Data Risk Posture Management and Trend Container Security.
Through its support for Nvidia’s NeMo framework, the Secure Ai Factory helps enterprises scale model safety evaluation and adaptation. The framework also interacts with Nvidia’s AI Enterprise suite, which includes Nvidia Morpheus, RAPIDS and AI Safety Recipes.
Emphasis On Guardrails And Governance
The initiative applies Zero Trust security principles to Ai agent interactions with application users. This includes measures to restrict adversarial manipulation, implement secure access protocols, and manage infrastructure posture during continuous integration and deployment workflows.
Trend Micro also highlighted sovereign Ai as a priority, with its Sovereign Private Cloud platform offering dedicated controls for jurisdiction-sensitive deployments.
Commenting on the broader context of secure Ai development, Justin Vaïsse, Director General at the Paris Peace Forum, welcomed industry collaboration in the sector.
“As Ai becomes increasingly embedded in critical systems, its safety and security must be treated as global priorities,” Vaïsse said. “We welcome the role of companies like Trend Micro in advancing responsible Ai by contributing tangible, scalable solutions to multi-actor partnerships.”
