Techwave has announced a strategic partnership with IQGeo to enhance the design and deployment of fibre networks. The collaboration aims to improve operational efficiency in the telecom and utility sectors, driving advancements in network planning and optimisation.
This partnership gives Techwave access to IQGeo’s Network Manager Telecom software, specifically the Professional edition, alongside a fibre dataset for training, testing, and demonstrations. As a Certified Design Partner, Techwave will be able to plan and design fibre networks more efficiently, providing significant value to its clients.
Accelerating Fibre Deployment
One of the main goals of the partnership is to reduce the time needed for fibre network planning and design by up to 90 per cent. By shifting from manual processes to digital workflows, Techwave expects to cut down on man-hours while boosting overall productivity. This streamlined approach promises faster project completion and quicker network rollouts.
The software also improves collaboration between office and field teams by eliminating file transfers and manual updates. This shift is expected to accelerate design timelines and enhance payment schedules for contractors.
“By replacing manual processes with digital workflows, we aim to not only speed up network deployments but also significantly improve operational efficiency,” said Chris White, Vice President – Global Competency at Techwave.
Global Support and Improved Performance
Another key aspect of the partnership is access to IQGeo’s global support services. This is expected to ensure quicker resolution of technical issues and minimise potential downtime. The combined efforts of both companies are focused on strengthening Techwave’s ability to deliver high-performance solutions to its clients, particularly in expanding fibre networks.
The collaboration also aims to foster better cooperation between Techwave and its clients, unifying efforts in the telecom and utility sectors.
“We believe this partnership will provide significant value as both companies share the objective of driving growth in the telecom, fibre, and utility industries,” White added.
A Shared Vision for Growth
IQGeo’s proven platform capabilities are central to this partnership. Jonathan Rosen, Associate Vice President, North America Engineering at Techwave, emphasised that the collaboration will help transform network data into efficient digital workflows for clients.
“This partnership will allow us to engineer world-class infrastructure networks, improving process optimisation and increasing workforce efficiencies,” Rosen said.
Techwave’s decision to work with IQGeo aligns with its strategic objectives of improving the quality and efficiency of fibre network design. Rosen highlighted that the collaboration will allow for more predictable rollouts, better process optimisation, and maximised network revenue.
IQGeo’s Commitment to Supporting Fibre Networks
IQGeo’s fibre design partner program has seen strong demand within the fibre industry. Jay Cadman, Senior Vice President at IQGeo, explained that as their market share continues to grow, they are committed to building a team of skilled professionals to support the increasing demand for fibre network planning and design.
“Fibre operators can be confident that all IQGeo partners are fully certified in the use of our products,” Cadman said. “I’m excited to welcome these new companies to our partner network and look forward to expanding our ecosystem in the future.”
The partnership between Techwave and IQGeo is part of a larger trend in the telecom industry to digitalise and optimise network deployment processes. By working together, both companies aim to meet the growing demand for faster, more efficient fibre networks.
