Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) continues to lead the pack as India’s most valuable brand, with its brand value growing by 16 per cent year-on-year (YoY). The company’s brand value surged from $42,969 million in FY23 to $49,657 million in FY24.

This is the third consecutive year TCS has secured the top spot in Kantar’s BrandZ Most Valuable Indian Brands rankings. The company attributes its growth to a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and strategic investments in its brand.

Strong Brand Value Growth

Kantar, a leading marketing data and analytics firm, evaluates brands across industries, analysing financial data and consumer insights. TCS’ ability to hold the top position highlights the company’s ongoing efforts to drive value through technological innovation and its focus on sustainable development.

A major contributor to this success has been TCS’ embrace of Ai and digital transformation technologies. These advancements have allowed the company to serve clients in various industries, helping them adopt new digital tools.

Deepender Rana, Executive Managing Director of Kantar’s South Asia Insights Division, remarked, “Tata Consultancy Services has achieved a 16 per cent increase in brand value, reaching $49,657 million. This growth is backed by the company’s investments in innovation and technology, especially in Ai and digital transformation services.”

Rana also highlighted TCS’ increasing presence in global business summits and partnerships with notable brands such as Jaguar TCS Racing in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. TCS has also sponsored several marathons over the years. “Their consistent efforts in brand-building are remarkable, especially in the B2B sector,” Rana added.

Expanding Sponsorships and Global Presence

TCS has actively grown its portfolio of global sports sponsorships, including partnerships with four World Marathon Major races in New York, London, Chicago, and Boston. The company sponsors marathons in cities like Amsterdam, Mumbai, and Toronto, and most recently, the TCS Sydney Marathon.

Through its collaboration with Jaguar TCS Racing in Formula E, TCS is working to advance electric vehicle technology and promote sustainable mobility. This partnership reflects the company’s broader commitment to sustainability, a theme that runs through much of its strategy.

TCS’ global footprint is also bolstered by its partnerships with organisations such as the World Economic Forum. The company has a significant presence at trade shows worldwide and has been recognised as a leader in nearly 80 per cent of competitive positioning assessments by industry analysts.

Recognition and Growth in the Digital Space

TCS’ Chief Marketing Officer, Abhinav Kumar, expressed his pride in the company’s recognition. “While we’ve made strides globally, being recognised as India’s most valuable brand is particularly meaningful for us,” Kumar said.

He also touched on the company’s recent inclusion in the world’s 50 most valuable brands by Kantar BrandZ, describing it as a testament to the company’s growing reputation. “As we celebrate 20 years since our IPO, it’s rewarding to be recognised as the top brand in India,” Kumar added. He acknowledged the dedication of TCS employees in driving the company’s success.

Driving India’s Digital Transformation

TCS has played a pivotal role in India’s digital evolution. The company has been involved in numerous high-profile projects, from powering digital services for the country’s stock exchanges to streamlining RTGS and NEFT systems. TCS also transformed the passport issuance process, further demonstrating its influence on the nation’s digital landscape.

The company has engaged in partnerships with academia and startups to develop innovative solutions. Its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives have enabled over 7 million individuals, particularly from marginalised communities, to gain digital skills.
