Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Partners With Mistral As First Global Systems Integrator For Mistral Forge AI

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered a strategic partnership with French AI company Mistral, becoming the first global systems integrator to bring Mistral Forge to enterprise customers worldwide.

The deal will see TCS use Mistral Forge to help organisations build, fine-tune and deploy custom AI models grounded in their own proprietary data and domain-specific knowledge, rather than relying on off-the-shelf alternatives.

The partnership signals a broader shift across the enterprise technology sector toward sovereign, customised AI systems that give organisations more control over their data and the models they deploy.

A Move Away From Generic AI

Mistral Forge is Mistral’s platform for enterprises to create AI models trained on internal data and tailored to specific operational contexts. TCS will act as the integration layer, combining its knowledge of enterprise operations across multiple industries with Mistral’s AI model capabilities.

The arrangement is designed to help clients move beyond experimentation and into production-scale AI deployment, with models shaped by their own business context rather than general-purpose training data.

The initial focus will be on banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), manufacturing, healthcare and the public sector. These are sectors where regulatory compliance, data sovereignty and trust in AI outputs are particularly pressing concerns.

TCS plans to draw on its presence across Asia-Pacific, North America, the United Kingdom and Europe to deliver solutions shaped by local industry requirements and regulatory frameworks.

Dedicated Centre Of Excellence

TCS will establish a dedicated Centre of Excellence for Mistral as part of the collaboration. The centre will serve as a hub for building industry-specific AI solutions, training specialist talent and coordinating project delivery across regions.

Clients working through the centre will be given early access to Mistral’s beta models, along with support for navigating the regulatory complexities that come with deploying AI in heavily governed sectors.

The centre is also intended to function as a training pipeline for the specialised workforce needed to design, deploy and govern AI solutions at scale.

The Mistral partnership sits within TCS’s broader strategy to position itself as an AI-centric technology services company. The company has outlined what it calls an “Infrastructure to Intelligence” approach, spanning infrastructure, models, data, applications, platforms and both physical and digital intelligence.

TCS has set a goal to become the largest AI-led technology services company globally, with a strategy built around embedding AI across enterprise operations, scaling AI-led delivery capabilities and tying outcomes to measurable business results.

The company, which is part of the Tata Group, reported consolidated revenues of over AU$42 billion in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026. It operates across 56 countries with 194 service delivery centres.
