Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
Australian telecommunications provider Superloop has selected Aria Systems’ cloud-native billing platform to replace a collection of legacy billing systems that had built up across the company as it scaled through acquisitions and organic growth.
The deal will see Superloop implement Aria Billing Cloud as a unified billing and rating solution spanning its consumer, business, wholesale and white-label operations.
Legacy billing complexity
Superloop was founded in 2014 and has since expanded into mobile, broadband and on-net services. The ASX-listed company reported 31 per cent annual revenue growth in 2025.
However, that growth came with a cost on the back end. As Superloop scaled, it accumulated multiple in-house billing platforms built on different technologies, creating operational complexity and duplication across systems.
To support its next phase of expansion, Superloop went looking for a SaaS billing platform that could consolidate those legacy systems into a single environment, support its full product suite across all market segments and deliver a more streamlined experience for customers and internal teams alike.
A building block for automation
Nick Pachos, Chief Commercial Officer at Superloop, framed the move as part of a broader technology modernisation effort already underway at the company.
“As Superloop continues to scale, consolidating multiple legacy systems into a single, modern billing foundation was essential,” Pachos explained. “This platform complements the AI-enabled infrastructure we’ve already built and represents another important building block as we continue evolving toward a more automated, data-driven operating model.”
Why Aria won the deal
Following what the companies described as an extensive evaluation process, Superloop selected Aria for its monetisation capabilities, powered by the vendor’s Allegro usage processing engine.
Aria’s SaaS delivery model was also a factor. The platform is designed to serve AI and data tools that can enhance operational workflows and business intelligence, aligning with the direction Superloop is already heading.
By standardising billing on Aria Billing Cloud, Superloop aims to improve its billing capabilities and support continued product innovation across its consumer, business, wholesale and partner markets.
Telco billing as a growth platform
Tom Dibble, President and Chief Executive Officer at Aria Systems, pointed to a wider trend among telecommunications providers rethinking the role of billing infrastructure.
“We’re seeing strong momentum across the global telecommunications market as providers rethink billing as a growth enablement platform,” Dibble noted.
“Superloop’s selection of Aria underscores a clear focus on simplifying complexity and building a scalable foundation for multiple markets, and we’re proud to welcome Superloop and support their transformation as they continue to grow,” he added.
Aria’s existing telco footprint
Aria Systems counts several telecommunications providers among its existing customer base, including Telstra, Singapore’s M1 and Liberty Latin America. The company also works with enterprises including Experian, Honda and Verisure.
Aria Billing Cloud incorporates predictive and generative AI to help enterprises scale productivity and personalisation. The platform has received ratings from research firms Omdia, IDC and Gartner.
