The Startup World Cup Grand Finale is set to return to San Francisco this November, bringing together more than 2,500 founders, investors and industry speakers for a three-day program anchored by a US$1,000,000 investment prize.
The event will run from 4 to 6 November 2026 at the Hilton Union Square on O’Farrell Street, with semi-finals, a corporate innovation seminar, the main-stage grand finale and a networking party spread across the schedule.
Australian startup accelerator, Startups & Angels, is now assembling a small delegation of local founders to attend the full week surrounding the event, spanning 2 to 7 November.
A Week-Long Program Beyond The Main Stage
The Grand Finale day itself falls on Friday 6 November and runs from 9am to 6pm in the Hilton’s Grand Ballroom. It will feature startup pitch presentations, fireside chats, panel discussions, a pitch competition and an awards ceremony, followed by a networking party from 6pm to 8:30pm.
Semi-finals are scheduled across Wednesday 4 November and Thursday 5 November, also at the Hilton Union Square, running from as early as 9am through to the evening.
A Corporate Innovation Seminar will take place on Thursday 5 November from 2pm to 5:30pm in the Hilton’s Imperial Ballroom, offering a separate track focused on how large enterprises engage with emerging startups.
Speaker Lineup Draws From Major Tech And Finance Names
The 2026 event’s speaker and judge roster pulls from established technology and venture capital firms.
Confirmed participants for the grand finale include LinkedIn Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, Jessica Jensen; Box CTO, Ben Kus; Redpoint Ventures Partner, Meera Clark; and NEA Venture Advisor, Claudia Fan Munce. San Francisco Business Times Reporter, Sara Bloomberg, is also listed among the panel.
The corporate innovation track features Amazon Web Services Worldwide Venture Innovation Lead, Jelena Joffe Weil; Adobe Corporate Development and Ventures executive, Manpreet Kohli; and SK Telecom Ventures Senior Investment Director, Shesh Amathnadu.
The main-stage agenda includes fireside chats with figures from Google, Cloudflare, Adobe, Brex, Carta, LinkedIn, DocuSign, AMD, Nutanix, Box and Dell, as well as a dedicated “Ask the VCs” panel and a media panel.
Past editions of the event have featured speakers including the Founder of The Corcoran Group and Shark Tank executive producer, Lori Greiner, who appears on this year’s agenda for a fireside chat segment.

Australian Delegation Being Assembled
Startups & Angels is organising a guided trip for a small group of Australian startup founders, with the week-long itinerary extending beyond the main event.
Monday 2 November and Tuesday 3 November are earmarked for VC visits and mentor and partner sessions. Tuesday 3 November also coincides with US Election Day.
The semi-finals on Wednesday and Thursday, the Grand Finale on Friday and optional sightseeing on Saturday round out the proposed schedule.

The accelerator has stressed that the trip will be at each company’s own expense and that places will be assessed on fit to ensure relevance for all attendees. Founders interested in joining the delegation are being asked to complete an expression of interest form outlining their company stage, sector, travel availability and what they would need from the trip to commit.
Tickets And Registration
Tickets for the Startup World Cup Grand Finale and associated events are available through the event website. Organisers have noted that all registrations must use each participant’s unique first and last name, with duplicate name entries subject to cancellation. Registered names will appear on badges at the event.
