SAP has completed its acquisition of recruiting platform SmartRecruiters, strengthening its position in the human resources technology market.

The move is part of a wider consolidation trend in the HR technology and recruitment space, with platforms seeking to scale and integrate with larger ecosystems.
For SAP SuccessFactors customers, the integration promises new Ai-powered capabilities aimed at improving time-to-hire, candidate experience, and analytics. Existing SmartRecruiters customers will continue to use the same platform, with support and product teams unchanged, now underpinned by SAP’s global scale.

Rebecca Carr, Chief Executive of SmartRecruiters, said the deal would accelerate product development while maintaining continuity for customers.

Global manufacturer, Continental AG, welcomed the announcement. Claudia Birle, Head of Global Talent Acquisition, said the deal highlights how recruitment technology is being repositioned as a driver of business outcomes.

Events And Roadmap
SmartRecruiters will be featured at major industry events throughout the remainder of the year. The company plans to showcase its product roadmap, demonstrate Ai-powered tools, and outline how the integration will support enterprise hiring strategies.
Events include HR Tech in Las Vegas from 16 to 18 September, SuccessConnect in Las Vegas from 6 to 8 October, Unleash World in Paris from 21 to 22 October and Gartner ReimagineHR conferences across London, Orlando, and Sydney. Also included is Gartner ReimagineHR APAC in Sydney on 17–18 November.
