Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
Progress Software has introduced an agentic retrieval augmented generation capability for its Sitefinity platform, positioning the update as a step toward fully dynamic web experiences built from verified enterprise content.
The company said the new feature set, called Progress Agentic RAG for Sitefinity, brings native multilingual agentic RAG services into the CMS. The system is designed to interpret user intent, retrieve trusted information and assemble tailored page experiences in real time.
Progress Pitches Dynamic Content Assembly
Progress said traditional websites built around static pages are struggling to meet changing expectations as users increasingly look for direct responses from trusted sources.
The new capability retrieves information from approved enterprise content, applies brand and compliance controls and assembles a response based on a visitor’s prompt.
According to the company, the shift is aimed at organisations with content distributed across portals, repositories and document systems. The agentic RAG approach is designed to bring this information together and generate an experience matched to a visitor’s goals.
The technology also supports generative engine optimisation, an emerging discipline focused on improving how enterprise content appears inside large language models.
Industry Partners Back The Move
Loren Jarrett, EVP & GM, Digital Experience, said the update is designed to match changing behaviour.
“Ai has fundamentally changed the way people access information,” she said. “As a result, traditional websites with pre structured content will soon be obsolete. Organisations need to provide a modern prompt driven, totally dynamic information experience for their website visitors, and Progress Agentic RAG for Sitefinity makes this a reality.”
Tangerine Telecom Chief Marketing Officer, Rick van Emmerik, said the approach aligns with the company’s own digital strategy.
“Progress is redefining what’s possible with Sitefinity, introducing adaptive Ai driven experiences that respond in real time to each user’s context and intent,” he said. “This innovation gives organisations like ours a distinct advantage. The ability to deepen engagement, personalise at scale and stand apart in a crowded digital space. We’re proud to be part of this next chapter.”
Progress Sets Up A Verified Content Layer
Progress said the new tools process information only from approved content sources, providing traceability for every element used in the generated experience.
The system unites retrieval, interpretation and assembled output into a single workflow. Progress said this removes the need for rigid page templates or large sets of manual rules.
The goal is a shift from static websites to dynamic Ai informed systems built entirely on the organisation’s own corpus.
Early Access Opens In Australia
Progress announced early access availability for Australian customers, saying interest is coming from organisations with large content estates and complex governance requirements.
The company said the agentic RAG system allows teams to move toward adaptive and compliant experiences without replacing existing content.
