Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
Pay.com.au has improved its PayRewards transfer rate for Qantas Business Rewards members, offering more value for small and medium businesses using its payments platform.
The change, effective from July 1, 2025, adjusts the conversion rate from 2.5:1 to 2:1, giving members 25 per cent more value when transferring points.
Strengthening Business Travel Benefits
The partnership with Qantas Business Rewards is designed to help businesses maximise returns on everyday expenses by turning payments into points that can be redeemed for flights, upgrades and other rewards.
Grant Austin, CEO at pay.com.au, said the improvement reflects the company’s focus on helping businesses get more out of their transactions.
“Our goal at pay.com.au is to ensure businesses always derive value from their expenses,” Austin said. “Our partnership with Qantas Business Rewards gives businesses more ways to earn Qantas Points on payments they’re already making, helping them get closer to rewards for their business like flights, upgrades and more.”
Example Savings For Travellers
Under the new transfer rate, a return economy Classic Flight Rewards trip from Sydney to Tokyo that previously required 181,000 PayRewards Points now requires 144,800 points, excluding taxes, fees and carrier charges.
Pay.com.au said the adjustment provides a more tangible way for members to see benefits from their points strategy.
Qantas Business Rewards Response
Katherine Stanton, Head of Qantas Business Rewards, said the improved rate was a direct response to business demand.
“We’re continuously focused on enhancing the ways our Qantas Business Rewards members can earn with the program and we’re excited that this improved transfer rate will allow them to unlock even greater value from their everyday business spend,” Stanton said.
