PAX 2023 excitement ramps up

With just a week left for the commencement of PAX Aus 2023, preparations and anticipation among gaming enthusiasts are escalating as the event gears up to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

PAX Aus App Launch

A significant announcement is the launch of the PAX Aus app, which is readily available for download. Event organizers are encouraging attendees to utilize this application to have instant access to crucial event information. The app will also assist participants in planning efficiently for the weekend, providing all necessary details right at their fingertips.

A PAX Aus World Map has also been provided to help attendees easily navigate around the Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Merchandise Release

Exclusive PAX merchandise has been released, featuring a wide range of products including tees, hoodies, jackets, bags, lanyards, and cards. The celebrated Pin Chicken returns this year, introducing “Pinny McFly”. This character, sporting a notable mullet and connected to a walkman, embodies a retro vibe and will be accessible during the official PAX Aus pin trading sessions held daily in the Queue Hall from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

New Fireside Chat Announcement

Adding to the schedule is a Fireside chat involving Takuma Endo, the Director of Tenchu and President of Acquire Studios. John Johanas and Rich Lambert, Bethesda’s Creative & Game Directors, will engage attendees with insights behind the creation of some of Bethesda’s renowned games – The Elder Scrolls Online and Hi-Fi RUSH.

Bandai Namco’s First Showing

A notable first at PAX Aus 2023 is Bandai Namco’s participation, where they will present Tekken 8. This game will be playable for the first time in Australia, located in the Console Freeplay area.

Deerstalker Pictures Panel Hosting

The cast of Deerstalker Pictures’ popular Dungeons & Dragons inspired comedy web-series ‘1 For All’ is set to host a panel. They will answer questions and engage in a meet-and-greet session with the fans.

The PAX Adventurer’s Guild Returns

The PAX Adventurer’s Guild will be making a return, courtesy of Epic Armoury Australia. They offer visitors an opportunity to engage in real-life LARP-ing quests. These quests will be available from 11 am to 4 pm each day of PAX in the Community Room on level 2 of the Convention Centre.

With a myriad of activities and sessions planned, attendees are advised to familiarize themselves with the map, schedule, and app to ensure they are fully prepared to navigate and participate in the event’s offerings.
