Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
NinjaOne has launched a vulnerability management product built natively into its unified IT operations platform, designed to let IT teams identify and remediate software vulnerabilities without relying on periodic scans.
The new product, NinjaOne Vulnerability Management, uses AI to continuously assess endpoints for known vulnerabilities using existing device telemetry, then connects those findings directly to the platform’s patching workflows for remediation.
The company ran a beta across more than 500,000 endpoints before the launch.
Moving away from periodic scanning
NinjaOne’s pitch centres on a shift away from the traditional vulnerability management cycle, where security teams run scheduled scans, export findings and hand them off to IT teams for remediation.
The company argues that this model leaves organisations exposed for longer than necessary, with gaps between scan cycles creating windows of unpatched risk.
Rahul Hirani, Chief Product Officer at NinjaOne, described the problem the product is intended to address.
“The traditional vulnerability management model – scan once or twice a week, export, hand off, wait – creates gaps, delays and unnecessary risk,” Hirani stated. “Our customers are looking for ways to reduce risk faster without slowing down their teams and organisations.”
“By integrating real-time vulnerability assessment, which scans continuously, directly with patching and endpoint management, we help customers reduce risk faster in a way that fits their existing processes and simplifies their work.”
How the product works
Rather than running scheduled endpoint scans, NinjaOne’s vulnerability assessment operates server-side, drawing on device telemetry the platform already collects. The company claims this approach avoids the performance impact that traditional scanning agents can impose on endpoints.
The system uses AI to identify vulnerabilities in real time using what the company described as millions of data points from its device inventory. When a vulnerability is detected, it is surfaced within the same console used for patch management, allowing IT teams to prioritise and deploy patches without switching tools or coordinating handoffs with security teams.
The platform supports autonomous patching workflows across Windows and Linux systems, with AI used to prioritise which patches are deployed.
NinjaOne also stated the product captures vulnerability and remediation data automatically, including data imported from third-party scanner tools, to provide audit-ready records for compliance purposes.
Early customer feedback
Spencer Stycos, Manager of Systems Engineering – IT Infrastructure at Great Minds, was among the beta users.
“Implementing NinjaOne’s real-time vulnerability assessment has transformed how we manage endpoint risk,” Stycos commented. “The single pane of glass approach gives us consolidated visibility into endpoint health, detected vulnerabilities and remediation guidance all in one place.”
Stycos noted that prior to NinjaOne, vulnerability tracking required aggregating data from multiple systems, which increased reporting overhead and slowed response times.

“Today, vulnerability insights are directly integrated into our patching workflows, making next steps clear and actionable,” he added. “The result is a more streamlined process, improved cross-team efficiency and a stronger overall security posture without impacting endpoint performance or user experience.”
