New tools aim to improve productivity and streamline business processes

Oracle NetSuite has introduced generative Ai features designed to assist organisations in Australia and New Zealand. The enhancements, embedded across the platform, are intended to help businesses use their own data more effectively to create content, reduce errors and improve operational efficiency.

Scott Wiltshire, Vice President and General Manager of Oracle NetSuite ANZ, said the new capabilities would help businesses gain more value from their existing data.

“We are delivering more Ai-powered tools to help customers in Australia and New Zealand increase efficiency and make better use of their organisational data,” Wiltshire said. “By embedding our generative Ai capabilities at no additional cost, we aim to help businesses complete tasks more quickly and accurately.”

Applications Across Business Functions

The new functionality, NetSuite Text Enhance, integrates company data across different areas, including finance, HR, supply chain management and customer support.

  • Finance and Accounting: Aims to help teams reduce time spent on manual tasks such as journal entries, customer communications and purchase orders.

  • Supply Chain and Operations: Designed to streamline procurement and logistics by generating item descriptions and vendor engagement letters.

  • Manufacturing: Assists with data entry, tracking work orders and ensuring consistency in cost templates.

  • Sales and Marketing: Supports teams in creating content for email campaigns, sales quotes and lead-generation communications.

  • Human Resources: Helps with drafting job descriptions, performance summaries and employee feedback.

  • Customer Support: Enables faster responses to customer queries and improves tracking of issue resolutions.

Generative Ai for SuiteScript API

NetSuite is also launching Generative Ai for SuiteScript API to help administrators and developers customise and expand Ai functionality.

The API allows businesses to integrate generative Ai capabilities into NetSuite extensions. This could enable organisations to develop industry-specific features tailored to their needs.

Privacy and Security Measures

NetSuite’s Ai features are built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and leverage its Ai services. Wiltshire emphasised that customer data security remains a priority.

“No customer data is shared with external large language model providers, and role-based security ensures that users only see relevant content,” he said.

NetSuite says its Ai tools will continue to evolve, with further updates expected in the coming months.
