Motorola has introduced the Moto G57 to the Australian market, expanding its mid-range smartphone lineup with a $299 handset featuring a 50MP Ai-powered camera, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and military-grade durability.
The device is available now through major retailers including JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, The Good Guys, Big W, Harvey Norman, Bing Lee, MobileCiti and Amazon. It ships in three Pantone-curated colours: Corsair, Regatta and Fluidity.

Focus On Coordination, Camera And Durability
Positioned as a phone “designed for real life,” the Moto G57 combines imaging, performance and ruggedisation features in a slim form factor with vegan leather finish.
Praveena Raman, Head of Motorola Australia and New Zealand, said the device was aimed at users who want dependable performance without paying flagship prices.
“From capturing everyday moments in stunning detail to powering long days on the go, this device brings together beautiful design, reliable durability and smart performance at an accessible price,” Raman said.
Ai-Enhanced Sony Camera System

At the centre of the G57 is a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 sensor, combined with Motorola’s moto ai software for intelligent image optimisation. Quad Pixel technology increases light capture for low-light conditions, while an 8MP ultra-wide sensor expands shot framing.
A 2-in-1 flicker sensor reduces banding, and the front-facing 8MP camera supports both selfies and video calls.
Motorola is leveraging Google Photos tools like Auto Frame and Magic Eraser for post-capture editing, with ai-based processing aimed at delivering sharper and more balanced images.
MIL-STD Certified For Durability
The device has passed MIL-STD-810H tests for temperature, pressure and impact. It features Gorilla Glass 7i and IP64 ingress protection for splash and dust resistance.
Water Touch 2.0 keeps the screen responsive even when wet, while Display Colour Boost and High Brightness Mode improve outdoor readability.
Snapdragon, RAM Boost And Android 16
The Moto G57 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor with integrated 5G support. It includes 12GB RAM (via RAM Boost) and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.
It runs Android 16 out of the box, with Motorola’s Hello UX providing additional customisation options. Users can adjust fonts, colours and use gesture controls for navigation.
Google Gemini is integrated for Ai-assisted tasks including event planning, content drafting and image recognition. Circle to Search enables screen-based visual queries.
Display And Audio Features
The 6.72-inch FHD+ screen offers a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,050 nits brightness. Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res Audio certification round out the entertainment features.
Raman said Motorola aimed to balance display performance and battery efficiency for everyday use.

Battery Care software manages app usage and charging patterns to extend battery health across 1,000 charge cycles.
Built-In Security And Family Tools
The Moto Secure app, powered by ThinkShield, centralises privacy and security settings. Family Space allows caregivers to set up child-friendly environments, limit screen time and control app access.
Each child can have their own profile, offering flexibility for shared family devices.
Availability
The Moto G57 is available from 8 January for $299 in Pantone Corsair, Fluidity and Regatta across major retailers in-store and online.
