Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
ManageEngine has launched a partner-developer ecosystem through its ManageEngine Marketplace, giving enterprises a place to find and deploy extensions and AI agents for the company’s IT platforms.
The marketplace, from the Zoho Corporation division, lists integrations, add-ons and plugins built by outside developers that sit on top of ManageEngine’s core platforms.
The ecosystem is meant to let organisations extend those platforms with partner-built capabilities rather than relying only on features ManageEngine builds itself.
ManageEngine says more than 17 partner-developer organisations have so far built more than 170 turnkey extensions, which have drawn more than 10,000 downloads worldwide.
Rajesh Ganesan, CEO of ManageEngine, linked the launch to the spread of AI-assisted development, which he argued is reshaping how customers expect to extend their software.
“ManageEngine Marketplace enables developers to unlock possibilities beyond what ManageEngine builds natively while upholding the quality, security and governance standards our customers trust us for,” Ganesan said.
A single place to extend the platforms
ManageEngine’s pitch is that enterprises now run hundreds of IT tools that have to work together as a single tool chain.
The marketplace is meant to bring developer-built capabilities, industry-specific functions and custom extensions to customers on top of the core products, in what the company frames as a way to speed up development and widen the scope for customisation.
It also acts as a gateway for Zia Agents, ManageEngine’s AI-powered autonomous agents for enterprise IT. The agents can be deployed across the company’s own platforms and third-party tools to take on enterprise workloads, according to ManageEngine.
A three-way model
ManageEngine describes the marketplace as a model in which value accrues to each party involved.
The company builds and maintains the platform components and core capabilities. Partner-developers use its infrastructure, development tools and business programs to speed up their build, deploy and go-to-market cycles. Customers deploy extensions built for their specific problems.
Anuj Garg, Director and Product Owner at HyphenEdge (EraSmith), a ManageEngine partner, described the marketplace as more than a distribution channel.
“For builders willing to solve real enterprise problems, the Marketplace is a practical way to turn great products into a sustainable business,” Garg said.
Built for security and speed
The marketplace is open to partner-developers, independent software vendors and customers, who can build and distribute extensions using ManageEngine’s extension framework.
A dedicated team handles validation, governance and quality assurance for each submission, which is checked for functionality, security and compliance before publication.
