Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
Intuit has unveiled a major expansion of Mailchimp’s eCommerce features, adding broader SMS coverage, AI-assisted campaign tools and new integrations to help online sellers streamline their marketing and generate clearer returns.
The new tools are rolling out globally from February 10, with support for 185 markets and 34 new SMS-enabled countries across Europe. Mailchimp says the update is designed to simplify how merchants manage data, run campaigns and attribute sales performance across channels.
“eCommerce marketers are under pressure to show every campaign’s impact on revenue,” said Diana Williams, Vice-President of Product at Intuit Mailchimp.
“With this release, Mailchimp customers will reap the benefits of 26 per cent more eCommerce triggers—bringing advanced data, automation and analytics into a single platform.”
More Channels, Less Friction
The upgrade includes new SMS opt-in tools, broader integration with platforms like Shopify, and improved transactional messaging through Mailchimp’s unified API. That API allows developers to trigger notifications such as order confirmations, while marketers maintain brand tone and layout.
Mailchimp’s Site Tracking Pixel and connections with review platforms like Yotpo and Judge.me pull customer activity and sentiment data into one place. That data helps target audiences such as high-value buyers or customers at risk of churning.
SMS coverage now extends to markets including Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Portugal, Greece and Poland. Short-code SMS remains excluded.
Unique discount codes in SMS automations and opt-in forms are also supported, allowing sellers to track conversions across mobile channels.

Unified Dashboards And AI-Powered Content
A new omnichannel dashboard merges performance data across email, SMS and automated journeys, giving users a single view of how their marketing is performing.
Marketers can see where customers drop off, which campaigns generate sales and where to optimise spend. Predictive analytics tools highlight high-value and at-risk customers.
Mailchimp’s integration with ChatGPT is now embedded in the campaign builder, helping users generate content for email and SMS flows with prompt-based suggestions.
Template reuse, segmentation and automation are also supported through AI, allowing sellers to create campaigns with less manual effort.
“Mailchimp turns your data into action with predictive analytics, AI-powered tools and reusable templates,” the company said.
Migration Tools Aim To Reduce Friction
New migration support aims to help businesses switch to Mailchimp from other providers like Klaviyo. This includes tools to carry over segments, contacts and campaign flows with minimal downtime.
Ali Mann from Kaylin + Kaylin Pickles, a customer that migrated in 2025, said their first campaign went live within a month and saw doubled open rates.
“I was so blown away,” Mann said.
Mailchimp claims customers save an average of 16 hours per week after implementing its tools. That figure comes from reported time savings across tasks like audience management, campaign setup and reporting.
Proven Results, Broader Reach
Toronto and Los Angeles-based hospitality group Gruppo Terroni used Mailchimp to re-engage lapsed wine club members via its Shopify-linked store. One segmented campaign with wine guides drove a 77 per cent open rate and a 28 per cent click-through rate, generating $8,000 in monthly recurring revenue.

Mailchimp customers who connected their accounts to Shopify reported up to $41 return on every $1 spent, according to Intuit’s internal figures.
SMS users saw up to 22 times ROI after launching their first mobile marketing campaign.
“We’re a global business available in nearly every country across the world,” said Ciarán Quilty, Senior Vice-President for International at Intuit.
“We’re giving small and mid-size businesses connected data, automation and AI that simply work together, so switching to Intuit Mailchimp isn’t just the easy choice today, it’s essential for their growth tomorrow.”
