Macquarie Telecom Group has announced the appointment of Marika Fiorini as its new Chief Customer Officer. In her new role, Fiorini will focus on driving business, sales and marketing, and nurturing internal career development as Macquarie prepares for its next stage of growth. Fiorini, who was most recently Macquarie Telecom’s state manager for Victoria, Tasmania, and South Australia, has been with the company since 2016 and has over 18 years of experience in managing wholesale and direct sales to the carrier market.
As the telecommunications industry experiences increased demand for reliable network, mobile, NBN, and cloud services, Fiorini is looking forward to expanding Macquarie’s product and service offerings, and new business arms, as well as promoting new business leaders. She is keen to engage with partners and customers face-to-face and is determined to foster a culture of collaboration and career development within the business.
“Macquarie has a proven track record of building talent from the ground up,ā she said. āIām looking forward to offering staff opportunities for growth and development, figuring out what makes them tick, and encouraging them to try new things, even if it sits outside their direct reporting lines.”
Fiorini’s appointment comes at a crucial time for Macquarie as it gears up for business growth and increases its focus on customer, staff, and partner collaboration. Her role will be to help drive Macquarie’s growth by ensuring that the company is providing customers with the best possible service and support, while also fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the company.
Macquarie Telecom Group Executive, Luke Clifton, said that Fiorini was the ideal candidate for the job and that she had been appointed at the perfect time. “Marika’s credentials speak for themselves, and she embodies the SoUnTelco spirit Macquarie is known for. Not only has she played a crucial role in bringing reliable telco and cloud services to brands and mid-sized businesses across Australia, but she’s been personally responsible for mentoring multiple employees into manager and executive roles within the business.”
