Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
Logitech has pushed out a significant update to its Logi Options+ software, expanding several features across its MX line of peripherals and introducing new productivity plugins for Microsoft Office, Notion and Slack.
The update centres on two main additions: an enhanced version of the company’s Easy Switch feature that allows multiple devices to follow a keyboard switch simultaneously, and a broadening of the Actions Ring overlay to all MX devices.
One key press moves three devices

The headline change is what Logitech calls Enhanced Easy Switch. Previously, users who worked across multiple computers had to manually reconnect each MX peripheral when switching between machines. The updated system allows an MX mouse and MX Creative Dialpad to follow an MX keyboard automatically when it switches to a different workstation.
A single key press on the MX Keys S or MX Keys Mini now moves all three devices at once, with no manual reconnection required. The feature works with all Logi Bolt devices. The MX Keys S and MX Keys Mini support it now with a firmware update, while the MX Mechanical and MX Mechanical Mini will receive the necessary firmware later this summer.
Logitech indicated the feature was developed in direct response to feedback from its MX user community.
Actions Ring expands to all MX devices
The Actions Ring, an on-screen overlay that gives users quick access to shortcuts and tools, was previously limited to select devices. It is now supported across the full MX range, including the MX Master 4, MX Master 3S, MX Anywhere 3S, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini, MX Mechanical and MX Mechanical Mini.
The update also adds folder support within the Actions Ring, allowing users to group shortcuts into nested folders. An updated icon editor lets users create custom styles for the Actions Ring and MX Keypad and apply them across their full setup.
New productivity plugins
Logitech is introducing a suite of plugins designed to work with both the MX Creative Console hardware controller and the broader MX ecosystem through the Actions Ring.
The Microsoft Office plugin provides controls for navigating Excel sheets, styling Word documents and managing PowerPoint slides. A Notion for Desktop plugin offers dedicated controls for page organisation through LCD screens or digital overlay menus. A Slack plugin enables users to jump into huddles, switch workspaces and manage threads with a single tap or click.
The plugins are available for free through the Logi Marketplace.
Positioning the MX line as a workflow platform
Maxim Bondar, Head of MX Business and Marketing at Logitech, framed the update as part of a broader effort to make the MX range function as an integrated productivity platform rather than a collection of standalone peripherals.
“Our goal is to enhance the workflows of advanced users, while making the technology behind it invisible,” Bondar explained. “By introducing community-requested features like Enhanced Easy Switch and our new productivity plugins, including for Microsoft Office, I am happy we continue to add more ‘superpowers’ to the MX Ecosystem.”
The update is available now through the latest version of Logi Options+. Users with existing MX devices will need to ensure their firmware is up to date to access the new features.
