Logitech G and McLaren Racing have announced a renewed and expanded multi-year partnership aimed at growing their long-standing collaboration in sim racing, product development and fan engagement.

The partnership will continue to support the Logitech McLaren G Challenge tournament while introducing a new range of official gaming peripherals including racing wheels, pedals, seats and headsets.

Expansion Builds On Years Of Collaboration

Since 2017, Logitech G has worked with McLaren Racing to blend real-world motorsport with digital racing platforms. Central to this effort has been the G Challenge, launched in 2018, which has become one of the largest sim racing competitions globally.

Robin Piispanen, General Manager of Logitech G’s Sim and Pro Categories, said the partnership has evolved beyond its initial scope.

“When two pioneers from different worlds come together, they don’t just collaborate, they redefine what’s possible,” Piispanen said.

He described the relationship as a shared effort between two brands committed to performance and innovation, aimed at shaping the future of both physical and virtual racing.

G Challenge Continues As Cornerstone Of Partnership

The G Challenge sim racing tournament remains a key element of the deal. Open to drivers of all experience levels, the competition attracts more than 200,000 unique competitors annually.

Participants compete for more than $100,000 in prizes, including travel to a Formula 1 Grand Prix, behind-the-scenes access to the McLaren Technology Centre in the UK, and opportunities to meet McLaren drivers.

Nick Martin, Co-Chief Commercial Officer at McLaren Racing, said the competition has helped to bring fans closer to motorsport.

“Working closely with Logitech G, we’ve been able to blur the lines between virtual and real-world racing throughout our partnership,” Martin said. “We’re excited to take this collaboration to the next level.”

New Hardware On The Way

Logitech G will continue as McLaren Racing’s Official Gaming Peripherals Partner. New products developed under the partnership will be designed to meet McLaren’s technical standards and will target a broad user base that includes professional drivers, racing enthusiasts and fans.

The aim is to replicate the feel of track racing through advanced hardware, tailored to offer realism and reliability in both competitive and training environments.

These developments are expected to broaden the reach of sim racing and improve the experience for participants and spectators alike.

Looking Ahead

Both companies are positioning the renewed agreement as a step toward growing the global sim racing community. Alongside evolving product lines, the G Challenge will continue to serve as a platform for new talent and deeper audience engagement.
