Logitech G and McLaren Racing have announced the 2025 Summer Season of the Logitech McLaren G Challenge, opening up a global sim racing competition to Forza Motorsport fans and competitive gamers.
Back for its seventh year, the event will run over several months and include regional qualifiers, in-person race days and a grand final. Players will compete for a prize pool worth over $50,000 in cash and gear, with the winner receiving an all-expenses-paid trip to the McLaren Technology Centre in the UK.
A Global Racing Community
“The Logitech McLaren G Challenge is the most competitive and prestigious racing series on Forza Motorsport right now,” said Daniel “SDW ForceOne” Nyman, a racer and competitive gamer. “In addition to the competition, there’s a really great community component surrounding the series. If you’re a developing driver, this championship is an incredible opportunity to learn from the game’s top players.”
According to Logitech G’s Senior Category Manager for ANZ, Daniel Hall, the event’s appeal goes beyond winning.
“At Logitech G, we believe gaming is at its best when it brings people together,” Hall said. “The McLaren G Challenge is more than a competition – it’s a global celebration of skill, passion and community. We’re proud to unite sim racers from around the world in an experience that fuels connection, competition and the future of motorsport.”
Race Days And Prizes
Australian players will get a chance to compete in person with Race Days held every weekend in June at The Gamesmen in Penhurst, NSW. The fastest 16 drivers from the region will qualify for the Race Day Finals in August.
Players will compete using Logitech’s PRO Racing Gear for a chance to win a top-tier setup that includes:

- Logitech G PRO Racing Pedals
- Logitech G RS Track Wheel
- Logitech ASTRO A50 (Gen 5) LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset
- Playseat Trophy – Logitech G Edition

On Track With McLaren
The three-stage qualifier series starts players off in the McLaren MP4/4 at Belgium’s Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. The second stage remains in the MP4/4 but shifts to Circuit Hakone, a fictional Japanese course. The third stage heads to Maple Valley, followed by a bonus rivals stage featuring the McLaren F1 GT on Sunset Peninsula Raceway.
The 2025 Summer Season schedule includes:
- Qualifying Rivals #1: May 14 – June 11
- Qualifying Rivals #2: June 12 – July 9
- Qualifying Rivals #3: July 10 – August 6
- Bonus Rivals: August 7 – September 3
- Race Days Semifinals: August 9
- Grand Finals: August 23 – 24
