Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
LG Electronics has outlined its 2026 Ai roadmap under a new banner: ‘Ai in Action’. The company is moving beyond conceptual applications of artificial intelligence, focusing instead on tangible integrations across consumer devices, connected homes, mobility and infrastructure.
At its annual LG World Premiere event in Las Vegas, ahead of CES 2026, the company revealed new products, home automation robots and updates to its Ai-driven appliance ecosystem.
LG Introduces Ai Robot CLOiD As Part Of ‘Zero Labour Home’
A centrepiece of LG’s presentation was CLOiD, a domestic Ai robot described as a “home-specialised agent.” CLOiD is equipped with two arms and five-fingered hands, able to perform basic physical tasks, learn home layouts and interact with users via contextual prompts.
“CLOiD is part of our Zero Labour Home vision,” said LG Electronics Chief Executive Officer, Lyu Jae-cheol. “We want to take the idea of appliances a step further and create intelligent agent devices that manage daily tasks on behalf of users. The goal is to give customers back their most valuable resource: time.”
In a live demonstration, CLOiD was shown proactively adjusting air conditioning, retrieving workout clothes, folding laundry and suggesting alternate plans based on weather and user routines. LG claims CLOiD’s design can withstand sudden movements from children or pets, highlighting the emphasis on stability and safety.
Ai Moves From The Cloud To Everyday Orchestration
Under the theme Innovation in Tune with You, LG presented three pillars underpinning its Ai expansion:
- Excellence in devices rooted in core technology
- A connected ecosystem for home and beyond
- Expansion into Ai-enabled vehicles and commercial infrastructure
Lyu said, “We’re moving from affectionate intelligence that could understand users to Ai in action that can do things for them.”
LG CLOiD serves as the physical expression of that strategy. “We expect Ai to connect across various spaces – homes, vehicles, workplaces – becoming an integral part of people’s lives,” Lyu said.
OLED TVs And Signature Appliances Feature Ai Upgrades
Several new LG products were launched, with a focus on embedded Ai features:
LG OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV
- Only 9 millimetres thick
- Hyper Radiant Colour Technology improves black levels, brightness and colour accuracy
- Features True Wireless technology enabling the thin design without visible cables
LG Signature Refrigerator
- Conversational Ai allows natural language interaction, e.g. asking how to store meat or leftovers
- Ingredient recognition enables recipe suggestions tailored to contents inside the fridge
LG Signature Oven Range
- Built-in gourmet Ai identifies ingredients and offers curated recipes
- Aims to turn cooking into a guided, interactive experience
Beyond The Home: Ai Vehicles And Cooling For Data Centres
LG is extending its Ai offerings into mobility and infrastructure, introducing two major areas of expansion:
In-Vehicle Ai Solutions
LG is positioning itself as an “Experience Architect” for connected cars, using on-device multimodal Ai to power adaptive displays, home-to-car continuity and gaze-tracking interactions.
Ai-Era HVAC Systems
The company also emphasised its growing role in cooling infrastructure for data centres. LG is developing Ai-optimised HVAC systems to reduce energy use and increase performance. This includes work on immersion cooling with GRC and infrastructure projects in partnership with Flex and government clients in the Middle East.
Ai In Action: A Shift In Strategy
The focus on “Ai in Action” reflects a broader move to embed intelligence across LG’s product categories. CLOiD acts as a symbol of that shift, demonstrating how Ai can become more ambient, task-oriented and integrated into physical environments.
“The future we shared today is one where technology quietly supports people in meaningful ways,” CLOiD’s presentation concluded. “With LG’s approach to Ai in Action, everyday life becomes better, more meaningful and more human.”
