Laser has launched a new retro gaming projector designed to bring arcade-style play into living rooms, combining a portable projector with pre-loaded games, emulators and streaming features.

The Sydney-based consumer electronics brand said the device is aimed at gamers wanting to relive classics or introduce younger audiences to arcade titles on the big screen.

A Nostalgia-Focused Device

The Laser Retro Gaming Projector comes pre-loaded with more than 80 licensed games, including Street Racer and World Rally. It also supports emulators for NES, SNES, Mega Drive, Sega Genesis, N64, Game Boy, GBA, Atari and SNK.

Chris Lau, Managing Director at Laser, said the company wanted to design a product that delivered immediate entertainment value.

“We’re launching a product that brings the joy of retro gaming to Aussie homes, with more than 80 licensed games ready to play straight out of the box,” Lau said. “Just in time for Father’s Day, this is a gift that can reconnect people with the arcade days or help families share gaming across generations.”

Out-Of-The-Box Play

The unit comes with two wireless controllers, a remote and a 120-inch cloth screen. Built-in speakers are included, although users can also connect external speakers.

Laser said the device can project onto any wall and includes HDMI and USB ports for connecting consoles, laptops or media players. With Android OS built in, the projector also functions as a streaming device, with access to the Google Play Store for downloading apps and games.

The company said this dual purpose – gaming and streaming – was intended to broaden its appeal beyond retro enthusiasts.

Key specifications include:
