Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
Kyndryl, the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider, and Nokia have announced an expanded portfolio of partnership solutions aimed at modernising enterprise data centre networks. The collaboration seeks to address the rising demand for robust, scalable, and secure network infrastructures driven by digital transformation and emerging technologies.
The partnership combines Kyndryl’s expertise in designing and managing hybrid cloud and data centre environments with Nokia’s advanced networking infrastructure, which features embedded security capabilities. Together, the companies aim to provide enterprises with the tools needed to manage increasing workloads and adopt technologies such as artificial intelligence (Ai) and high-performance computing.
“As enterprises face growing workloads due to hybrid IT environments, Ai adoption, and high-performance computing, the demand for reliable, low-latency, and secure connectivity has never been greater,” said Paul Savill, Kyndryl Global Network and Edge Computing Practice Leader. “Our expanded portfolio with Nokia highlights the essential role robust data centre networks play in driving IT modernisation.”
Savill added that the partnership’s end-to-end network services empower enterprises to meet regulatory requirements, mitigate risks, and accelerate their technology transformations.
Integrating Advanced Automation
To support the expanded solutions, Kyndryl will integrate Nokia’s Event-Driven Automation (EDA) technology into its Ai-powered Kyndryl Bridge platform. This integration will enable full automation of data centre networks by leveraging real-time data and machine learning. The collaboration aims to deliver seamless network management and automation capabilities for enterprise customers.
“As businesses use Ai to transform, they require fast, secure, and easy-to-use data centre networks,” said Federico Guillén, President of Nokia Network Infrastructure. “By combining Kyndryl’s IT expertise with Nokia’s open and secure network technology, we’re making it easier for companies to modernise their data centres and stay ahead in the Ai era.”
Supporting Emerging Workloads and Compliance
The enhanced partnership addresses the needs of enterprises managing their own data centres or expanding their capacity to support technologies such as machine learning (ML) and virtual reality (VR). The improved IT infrastructure will bolster enterprise resilience against cyberattacks while supporting compliance with frameworks like the EU’s Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
Kyndryl’s experience in end-to-end network management and consulting services complements Nokia’s track record of deploying large-scale networks for service providers, webscalers, and enterprises. Together, the companies aim to meet the growing demands of high-performance workloads in modern data centres.
Expanding Kyndryl’s Network Portfolio
The collaboration extends Kyndryl’s network portfolio, which includes software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), private 5G networks, edge computing, and hyperscaler cloud services. Nokia’s data centre fabric, IP routing, optical networking, and quantum-safe security solutions will augment these offerings.
The partnership aims to deliver a comprehensive approach to enterprise networking, supporting the scalability and security required in today’s digital landscape.
