Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
KnowBe4 has partnered with Australian secure coding company Secure Code Warrior to deliver interactive secure coding training aimed at organisations with technical teams, as AI tools become embedded in day-to-day software development workflows.
The partnership will see Secure Code Warrior’s content added to the KnowBe4 attack simulation and training library, providing 31 learning activities across nine learning series. The program covers areas including application security, threat modelling, data protection and coding securely with AI.
The deal comes as data cited by the companies indicates that 72 per cent of developers now use AI in their daily workflows, raising questions about the security implications of AI-assisted and AI-generated code.
What the training covers
The learning series spans a range of topics designed to give technical staff foundational security awareness in the context of modern development practices.
Content covers Application Security 101, the OWASP Top 4 (Broken Access Control, Security Misconfiguration, Software Supply Chain Failures and Cryptographic Failures), the OWASP Top 10 for Large Language Model Applications, coding with AI, data protection and threat modelling.
The training supports 10 programming languages, allowing developers to learn within the context of the tools they use in their daily work. To support global teams, the content is available in eight spoken languages.
The learning activities include both traditional and interactive formats. All content is available now to KnowBe4 Diamond and SAT Advanced subscription customers.
KnowBe4 flags demand for real-time content
Greg Kras, Chief Product Officer at KnowBe4, pointed to customer demand for training that keeps pace with the speed of AI adoption.
“With AI moving as fast as it is, our customers need more than just static resources. They are asking for fresh, real-time content and fast-paced interaction to make sure their technical teams don’t fall behind,” Kras explained.
“By partnering with Secure Code Warrior, we are providing organisations with the foundational knowledge needed to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities before they are ever baked into production. This helps organisations build a security culture that keeps pace with the rapid adoption of AI tools.”
Secure Code Warrior sees a shift in who builds software
Pieter Danhieux, Co-Founder and CEO of Secure Code Warrior, framed the partnership around a broader transformation in how software gets written.
“The rise of AI-driven development requires a new, tailored approach to software governance and developer education,” Danhieux remarked. “As software development shifts from human-written code, to AI-assisted development, to fully agentic systems, every employee will become a builder of applications and AI agents.”
Danhieux argued that secure coding fundamentals are what allow developers to become effective overseers of AI-generated code rather than passive consumers of it.
“By bringing our interactive learning experiences to KnowBe4’s global network, we will enable developers to embrace AI with the secure coding fundamentals they need: the foundational capability that transforms developers into confident orchestrators of AI agents, capable of governing what AI can and can’t touch in their codebases,” he added.
“This enables organisations to keep their code secure and their operations safe while they leverage the productivity gains of this disruptive technology.”
