Perth-based technology services provider Kinetic IT has been recognised in the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards for the fifth year running, placing it among a select group of private businesses to maintain that streak since the program launched in Australia.
The awards, administered by Deloitte Private Australia, assess private companies against four pillars: strategy, culture and commitment, capabilities and innovation and governance and financial performance. The program is now in its sixth year locally and benchmarks participants against a global network of more than 1,300 private companies.
Five years of recognition
Kinetic IT Interim Chief Executive Officer, Shane Quinn, described the consecutive recognition as a reflection of sustained discipline across the business.
“Achieving five consecutive awards is truly remarkable, and is testament to the strength of our strategy, the dedication of our people and our commitment to supporting government and critical infrastructure with secure, reliable and impactful outcomes,” Mr Quinn commented.
He pointed to the company’s operating model, governance framework, culture and local expertise as foundational elements that have underpinned the result.
“It also highlights the foundations we’ve worked hard to build, which enable us to consistently deliver trusted results at scale,” Mr Quinn added.
A year of capability investment
Mr Quinn noted that 2025 was defined by continued investment in capability, innovation and delivery discipline across the company’s public sector and critical infrastructure work.
“Over the past year, we’ve focused on strengthening execution and delivering real impact for our customers,” he explained.
“With a clear strategy, values-led culture and strong governance, we aim to keep raising the bar for what ‘best managed’ looks like in Australia’s technology and private sectors. This award reinforces the importance of long-term thinking, sustainable growth and supporting Australia’s sovereign digital capability.”
Industry recognition in 2025
The Deloitte award caps a year in which Kinetic IT picked up several other industry acknowledgements.
The company was named ServiceNow Consulting and Implementation Partner of the Year for the Asia-Pacific region. It also became the first organisation in Australia – and the second globally – to achieve SIAM Assured Service Partner status through Scopism, a certification body for service integration and management.
Kinetic IT was also a category finalist for Enterprise Partner of the Year at the ARN Innovation Awards.
Deloitte highlights strategic intent among winners
Deloitte Partner and Australia Best Managed Companies Leader, Claire Szatsznajder, outlined what set this year’s cohort apart.
“The theme for this year’s program was ‘connected for growth’,” Szatsznajder noted. “Our winners are defined by their strategic intention, with each organisation demonstrating a well-defined and executed strategy anchored in a compelling purpose and mission.”
The Best Managed Companies program was established in Canada in 1993 and now operates in 46 countries across the Americas, Europe and Australasia. Companies are evaluated by an independent judging panel comprising representatives from program sponsors and guest judges over an eight-month assessment period.
