Inflection Ai and Intel have announced a collaboration to introduce a new Ai system aimed at helping enterprises tackle critical workloads. The system, called Inflection for Enterprise, is designed to offer conversational, employee-friendly Ai capabilities and is powered by Intel Gaudi and the Intel Tiber Ai Cloud. This partnership provides enterprises with the scalability and control needed for large-scale deployments.

Inflection for Enterprise is currently available through the Ai Cloud, and a Gaudi 3-powered Ai appliance will begin shipping to customers in Q1 2025.

A New Standard for Ai in Enterprises

Justin Hotard, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Data Center and Ai Group at Intel, highlighted the significance of the collaboration. “Through this strategic partnership with Inflection Ai, we are setting a new standard for Ai solutions. With support for open-source models, tools, and competitive performance per watt, Intel Gaudi 3 solutions make deploying generative Ai accessible and efficient for enterprises of any size.”

Building and deploying an Ai system typically requires significant infrastructure and collaboration across engineering and data science teams. Inflection for Enterprise aims to simplify this process, offering a solution that allows businesses to use Ai co-workers specifically trained on their unique data and policies.

Ted Shelton, COO of Inflection Ai, commented on the challenges faced by enterprises adopting Ai. “Every CEO and CTO we speak to is frustrated that existing Ai tools aren’t truly enterprise-grade. Many organisations don’t have the expertise to fine-tune models themselves. Inflection for Enterprise solves this problem, and with the performance gains we see from running on Intel Gaudi, we know it can scale to meet the needs of any enterprise.”

Customisation and Fine-Tuning for Enterprises

Inflection Ai fine-tunes its models for each organisation, ensuring that the Ai aligns with the company’s specific tone, products, and internal processes. Inflection 3.0, which powers the enterprise system, is designed to provide faster time-to-value with generative Ai experiences tailored to the needs of each business.

The system also provides templates that allow businesses to avoid hardware testing and model building, enabling faster scaling without large capital expenditures. From Q1 2025, customers will also have the option to purchase Inflection for Enterprise as a complete Ai appliance.

The Gaudi 3-powered appliance offers up to twice the price-performance of existing competitive offerings, optimising generative Ai performance. Customers can choose to run the appliance on-premises, in the cloud, or in a hybrid setup.

Enhanced Security and Ownership

Security is a key focus of Inflection for Enterprise. The system allows businesses to retain full ownership of their Ai models, ensuring that no proprietary information is shared outside the organisation. Enterprises can also choose their preferred architecture for hosting the models, whether on-premises or in the cloud.

Shelton highlighted the system’s focus on security and ownership. “Enterprises want to own their intelligence, and Inflection for Enterprise allows them to do that. Our fine-tuned models are unique to each business and are never shared outside their organisation.”

Competitive Edge with Gaudi 3

The new system marks a shift in Inflection Ai’s infrastructure, moving from Nvidia GPUs to Intel Gaudi 3 for Inflection 3.0. This transition provides enterprises with improved performance and cost efficiency. According to Intel, the Gaudi 3 Ai accelerators offer 128 GB of high-bandwidth memory, which further optimises Ai performance compared to Nvidia H100 GPUs.

Inflection for Enterprise is expected to bring substantial productivity benefits to businesses. By integrating Ai co-workers that understand an organisation’s specific needs, enterprises can accelerate their digital transformation efforts while maintaining control over their data and models.

Looking Ahead

Inflection Ai and Intel are also working to expand the capabilities of Inflection for Enterprise, enabling developers to build enterprise applications using the robust Inflection 3.0 system. Enterprises interested in exploring the solution can sign up for a demo on Inflection Ai’s website.

With the combined expertise of Inflection Ai and Intel, the new system aims to help businesses overcome the challenges of deploying and scaling Ai, making it a practical tool for enterprises across various industries.
