Ikarao has expanded its presence across Australia and New Zealand with the launch of its 2025 range of Smart Karaoke machines, including the flagship Break X1, which features a 13.3-inch rotatable display, dual wireless microphones and a 460W speaker system.

Distributed by Audacity Australia, the all-in-one portable machines are designed to provide karaoke without relying on mobile phones or external screens. Models in the new range include Break X1, Break X2 and the Shell S-series, all equipped with integrated displays, rechargeable microphones and karaoke app support.

Built-In Display And Portable Design

The flagship Break X1, which received a Red Dot Design Award in 2024, includes a full HD touchscreen that rotates 180 degrees. This allows users to view lyrics directly on the unit without needing a secondary screen or device.

Phoebe Dainton, Director of Audacity Australia, said the design approach improves the overall experience.

“The Ikarao makes it so fast and easy to start playing karaoke,” she said. “The wireless microphones instantly connect and I can find music and read the lyrics on the big display. You don’t have to use your own phone. It’s a smart approach to karaoke in the home.”

All models include dual-band Wi-Fi, HDMI out, Bluetooth 5.3, and built-in battery support, with a carry handle for mobility.

Microphones And Connectivity

Each Break model features integrated charging docks for the included wireless microphones. The microphones automatically recharge while stored and pair with the system upon activation.

Shell series models include magnetic microphones that self-charge while docked. All microphones are rated as professional-grade and support sound effect customisation.

The systems also include AUX output for external speaker connectivity, HDMI output to display lyrics on a TV or projector, and 6.3mm instrument and microphone inputs.

App Integration And Offline Support

The Ikarao units come preloaded with support for Spotify, YouTube and Karafun. Through a partnership with Karafun, new customers will receive a six-month subscription to access more than 60,000 karaoke tracks with offline playback capabilities.

The systems run Android 13 and support app downloads through Wi-Fi, allowing users to expand their content access directly from the device.

Use Cases For Home And Travel

Ikarao’s portable units support up to 10 hours of use on a full charge. The integrated screen eliminates the need to use a mobile phone during sessions, reducing interruptions from calls or notifications and allowing users to film or take photos while performing.

The units are designed for home use, parties, camping or outdoor events. Users can perform solo, duet or “battle” mode with crowd participation encouraged via on-screen lyrics.

Ikarao systems are available now through major retailers including Harvey Norman and specialist audio dealers.
