Forte Acquires Asia-Pacific Systems Integrator Vega Global To Expand Into 22 Countries

Minneapolis-headquartered workplace technology firm, Forte, has acquired Asia-Pacific systems integrator, Vega Global, gaining a presence in 17 additional countries and extending its operations to more than 70 cities worldwide.

The acquisition brings Vega Global’s 750-plus staff and 27 offices across the Asia-Pacific region under Forte’s umbrella, adding established operations in Hong Kong, Mainland China, India, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, Australia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Macau, New Zealand, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates.

Forte already had operations in the United States, Ireland, Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom and Mexico. The combined entity now has professional staff in 22 countries.

Scale for multinational customers

Chairman and CEO of Forte, Jeff Stoebner, framed the deal as a response to demand from multinational clients for consistent audiovisual and collaboration services across geographies.

Forte delivers audiovisual solutions including integrated meeting room technologies, digital workplace tools, mission-critical systems and managed services. The company positions itself as a provider for corporate, education and government customers.

Vega Global’s regional footprint

Vega Global, founded in 1986 and headquartered in Hong Kong, operates as a systems integrator and managed service provider for audiovisual, video conferencing and collaboration technologies across the Asia-Pacific region.

The company serves multinational corporations and public organisations, with its work spanning corporate facilities, educational institutions and large-scale venues.

Vega Global’s CEO, Steven Medeiros, will take on the role of CEO of Forte Asia following the acquisition.

Forte, founded in 1974, has historically focused on the design, delivery and support of workplace technology solutions. The addition of Vega Global’s Asia-Pacific operations gives the company a delivery capability across a broader geographic spread than it previously maintained.

The combined company’s footprint now covers the Americas, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, with the 70-city reach representing what Forte describes as one of the larger global delivery networks among audiovisual integrators.
