Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements

Everything Electric Australia is returning to Sydney Showground from September 18 to 20, bringing more than 100 electric vehicle models, 7,500 test drives and a home energy exhibition to a three-day event that organisers expect will draw more than 40,000 visitors.

The show, created by the team behind the British-based Fully Charged YouTube Show and powered by headline sponsor, carsales, covers the full spectrum of electrification, from passenger cars and trucks to vans, motorcycles, e-bikes, commercial vehicles and boats, alongside home energy technologies including solar, batteries and smart meters.

Brands including BYD, Cadillac, Chery, Farizon, Forthing, Genesis, Geely, GAC, GWM, Hyundai, Icaur, IM, Lepas, MG, Omoda Jaecoo, Polestar, Subaru, Weichai and Zeekr will be exhibiting, with a number of new vehicle launches expected during the show.

Record EV Sales Provide Backdrop

The event comes as Australia’s EV market continues to grow. By the end of July 2026, 127,244 battery electric vehicles had been sold in the year to date, representing 17.3 per cent of total market share and already exceeding the 103,269 sold across the whole of 2025, according to the FCAI. The year-to-date results bring Australia’s national EV fleet to approximately 650,000, according to the Australian Automobile Association.

The Global CEO of Everything Electric, Dan Caesar, pointed to the convergence of EV uptake and cost-of-living pressures as a driver of consumer interest.

“Australia’s transition to electric is accelerating rapidly; EV sales have already surpassed 2025 figures and more than half a million home batteries have been installed in the past year,” Caesar noted.

“Australians are increasingly recognising that electrification isn’t just about sustainability – it can deliver savings on household energy and transport costs.”

“Everything Electric Sydney comes at a pivotal time, with more choice, better technology and greater consumer interest than we’ve ever seen. It gives Australians the opportunity to see what’s coming next and understand how electric cars, solar, batteries and home energy can work together in their everyday lives,” he added.

Carsales Returns As Headline Sponsor

Online automotive marketplace, carsales, is returning as headline sponsor.

The EGM of Marketing, Content and Customer at carsales, Rafael Constantinou, commented: “With more EV models entering the market, consumers are looking for trusted information and opportunities to compare their options with confidence. Everything Electric brings together brands, experts and real-world experiences in one place.”

“At carsales, we’re committed to helping people make informed vehicle decisions, and we’re proud to support an event that makes EV education and discovery more accessible,” Constantinou added.

Test Drive Experience Covers More Than 100 Models

A central feature of the show is its EV Test Drive Experience, which allows visitors to compare and test drive a wide range of electric vehicles in one location. More than 100 electric vehicles will be available to test drive under one roof, with more than 7,500 test drives expected across the three days.

Electric motorbikes and scooters will also be available to test drive for those with the appropriate licences, while visitors can try e-bikes, scooters and skateboards on the Micro Mobility Test Track.

Expert Sessions And Home Energy Advice

More than 40 live expert sessions will take place across two theatres over the three days, covering practical questions around electric vehicles and home energy technology. Sessions include topics such as buying a first EV, vehicle-to-grid technology, range anxiety, energy storage for renters and apartments, urban charging solutions and home heating and cooling.

The Home Energy section will feature exhibitors including Ausgrid, Origin Energy, Amber Electric and Schneider Electric, alongside companies showcasing solar, batteries, smart meters, EV charging and insulation.

Visitors will also be able to access free one-on-one consultations with home energy experts covering solar panels, battery storage, smart meters, insulation and ways to reduce household energy costs.

The show runs from Friday 18 September to Sunday 20 September at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park. Friday and Saturday hours are 10am to 5pm, with Sunday running 10am to 4pm.
