Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
Epson has introduced the EH-LS9000B, a new home theatre laser projector designed to bring 4K performance into large-format living room and entertainment setups.
Positioned just below Epson’s LS12000B and QL3000B models, the EH-LS9000B offers 4K UHD display, laser lighting, HDR10+ support and a high-contrast performance profile suited to home cinema applications. It is now available across Australia and New Zealand through authorised retailers.
4K Projection With Frame Interpolation
The EH-LS9000B delivers 8.3 million on-screen pixels through Epson’s 4K resolution enhancement technology. It includes a 15-element precision glass lens, inherited from the LS12000B, to reduce light leakage and maintain sharp focus from edge to edge.
Epson said the unit produces up to 2,200 lumens of both colour and white brightness, supporting screen sizes up to 300 inches depending on ambient conditions and setup. A 2,500,000:1 contrast ratio supports deeper blacks and more defined shadows across dark scenes.
The projector includes 4K frame interpolation to reduce blur and improve motion clarity. This feature generates intermediate frames, smoothing transitions in fast-moving scenes for film or gaming content.
Colour Accuracy And HDR Support
The EH-LS9000B supports HDR10+, HDR10 and hybrid log gamma (HLG) content. It processes 100 per cent of HDR source data using full 10-bit colour and a dedicated HDR processor.
The unit uses Epson’s proprietary 3LCD technology to display the full RGB colour spectrum in each frame, contributing to colour accuracy across all five preset modes. The projector’s internal 32-bit image processor manages colour, contrast and scene optimisation in real time.
Combined with the laser light source, the processing hardware supports extended colour gradation and enhanced visual detail.
Long-Life Laser And Installation Options
The EH-LS9000B uses a solid-state laser light source rated for up to 20,000 hours without maintenance. Epson said the projector does not require bulb replacement and features instant power-on capability.
The projector offers flexible lens shift of +/- 24 per cent horizontally and +/- 96 per cent vertically, as well as zoom and focus adjustment. Installers can store settings in up to ten lens memory presets, allowing for multiple configurations based on screen format or seating position.
The unit also integrates with home automation platforms, including Control4 and Crestron systems.
Availability And Pricing
The EH-LS9000B is now available in Australia and New Zealand through Epson-authorised partners and resellers.
- RRP in Australia: $7,299
- RRP in New Zealand: $7,799
The projector comes with a standard three-year warranty, with the option to extend coverage by an additional two years.
