Duck Creek Technologies, a global provider of intelligent solutions for property and casualty (P&C) and general insurance, has announced the opening of its second Center of Excellence (CoE) in Warsaw, Poland. This new facility, following the establishment of Duck Creek’s first CoE in India, aims to strengthen support for customers in the EMEA and APAC regions by tapping into global talent and delivering 24-hour service.

Strategic Expansion to Support Global Customers

Duck Creek plans for the Warsaw CoE to be fully operational by year-end, bringing new technical capabilities and reinforcing its international support network. The CoE will enable Duck Creek to address regional needs efficiently while broadening its global reach.

Poland’s location was chosen strategically to enhance Duck Creek’s ability to offer “follow-the-sun” support. This approach positions teams closer to clients across EMEA and APAC, ensuring effective cross-time-zone collaboration. By combining efforts with the India CoE, the new center is expected to bolster resilience and improve service delivery for Duck Creek’s customer base.

Courtney Townsend, Chief People Officer at Duck Creek, commented on the expansion: “We are excited to expand our footprint in Poland. This move demonstrates our commitment to harnessing global talent and fostering innovation to support our cloud-based insurance solutions for customers worldwide. Our new Center of Excellence in Poland marks a pivotal milestone in our European expansion and aligns with our goal to streamline operations while continuing to deliver high-quality products and services.”

Tailored Support for the EMEA Insurance Market

The new CoE in Poland will focus on developing solutions tailored to the needs of the EMEA insurance market. Alongside providing technical and engineering support, it will host a range of functions, including development, testing, and customer support. The center will initially employ talent across Engineering, Product, Finance, Accounting, and IT roles, drawing on Poland’s skilled workforce to maintain Duck Creek’s high standards of service.

The Warsaw center will also enable the company to enhance its customer engagement by offering expertise that addresses specific regional requirements and operational goals. Townsend noted that the new CoE is part of Duck Creek’s broader vision to bring innovation closer to clients, delivering insurance solutions that respond directly to market demands.

Dual CoE Approach to Risk Management and Service Resilience

Duck Creek’s decision to establish two Centers of Excellence supports its dual-CoE approach, designed to optimise work distribution and mitigate risks associated with talent shortages or geopolitical disruptions. By leveraging both the Poland and India facilities, Duck Creek aims to ensure consistent customer support, backed by a resilient operational framework.
