Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
Dreame Technology has used IFA 2026 in Berlin to expand its smart home product range, led by a new robot vacuum with extending mechanical arms and a steam-powered floor cleaner aimed at reducing manual cleaning effort.
The company, which claims to be Australia’s top-selling robot vacuum brand, used the consumer electronics show to outline a broader push into connected home products spanning personal care, outdoor and garden maintenance and air treatment.
The X60 Ultra Extreme
The lead product in the lineup is the X60 Ultra Extreme, a robot vacuum positioned as Dreame’s flagship device for the second half of 2026.
The unit features what the company calls Dual-Joint UltraExtend Arms, a mechanism that allows the side brush to extend up to 12cm and the mop system to reach up to 18cm beyond the body of the device. The design is intended to allow the robot to clean into corners, under furniture and along skirting boards that conventional robot vacuums typically miss.
Dreame’s Head of Marketing AU & NZ, Harold Xu, explained that the company’s product development continues to focus on addressing common household cleaning problems.
“Dreame’s focus has always been on solving everyday household challenges through meaningful innovation, whether it’s reaching previously inaccessible areas, reducing manual cleaning effort or delivering smarter decision-making through advanced AI, our latest product lineup is designed to help consumers spend less time on chores and more time doing what matters most,” Xu remarked.
The X60 Ultra Extreme is set to launch in Australia and New Zealand later this year, though specific pricing has not been confirmed.
Aqua20 Ultra Roller
Alongside the robot vacuum, Dreame has introduced the Aqua20 Ultra Roller, a floor cleaning device that combines steam, hot water and roller technology into a single unit.
The device uses 180-degree high-temperature steam and hot water to address dirt, grease and household messes on sealed hard flooring surfaces. An extending roller mop is designed to reach into corners and narrow spaces, while a dirt detection feature identifies hidden messes and adjusts cleaning behaviour accordingly.
The Aqua20 Ultra Roller is expected to become available in September 2026.
A related model, the Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete, received recognition in the Smart Home category of the IFA Innovation Awards during the event.
T16 Series expansion
Dreame also used the event to highlight its expanding wet and dry vacuum range, with several additions to the T16 Series on show.
The T16 Pro TriForce, which has already launched in Australia and New Zealand, uses three water-driven cleaning methods: 200-degree steam sterilisation, 90-degree hot-water degreasing and foam-based deodorisation. The unit pairs those with suction, surface recognition and anti-tangle technology in a single device.
The company previewed two further models at the event. The T16 Pro CarpetFlex and T16 Ultra Series were both shown globally at IFA 2026 and are expected to join the Australian and New Zealand product lineup at a later date. Local availability and pricing details have not yet been confirmed for either model.
Broader smart home ambitions
Beyond floor care, Dreame used the Berlin event to signal its intentions in adjacent product categories. The company showcased products across beauty, lawn care, air treatment and window cleaning, reflecting a strategy to position itself as a broader smart home brand rather than a single-category cleaning company.
