Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
Global payroll and HR platform Deel has made its services available through Microsoft Marketplace, giving Microsoft customers a direct procurement path to the company’s workforce management tools without running a separate vendor evaluation process.
The listing means organisations already operating on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 can discover, deploy and manage Deel’s services from within their existing Microsoft buying environment. It also allows customers to apply Deel spending toward existing Azure Consumption Commitments (MACC), consolidating cloud and workforce tool expenditure under a single commercial framework.
Employee of Record, payroll and contractor hiring available through the marketplace
Three of Deel’s core product lines are now accessible through the marketplace listing: Employee of Record, Managed Payroll and contractor hiring solutions.
The platform enables businesses to hire employees and contractors, process payroll, manage HR functions and handle compliance across more than 150 countries from a single connected system. The company supports those operations with more than 2,000 in-house payroll, legal and compliance specialists.
More than 40,000 companies currently use Deel, with AI integrated across workflows to reduce manual administrative tasks.
Procurement simplification drives marketplace strategy
Dan Westgarth, Chief Operating Officer at Deel, pointed to changing expectations among enterprise procurement teams as a key driver behind the marketplace listing.
“Procurement teams no longer want to run a separate vendor evaluation each time they add a workforce tool – they expect it to already be available where they buy their software,” Westgarth explained.
“Listing Deel in Microsoft Marketplace puts global payroll, HR and compliance in that same buying process, so Microsoft customers can bring AI-assisted workforce infrastructure online without a separate procurement cycle,” he added.
The comments reflect a broader shift in how enterprise software buyers prefer to acquire and manage cloud-based tools. Marketplace listings reduce friction in the procurement process by allowing customers to purchase through an environment they already have commercial agreements with, rather than onboarding each vendor independently.
Marketplace model consolidates vendor management and cloud spend
For organisations with existing Azure commitments, the ability to count Deel usage toward their MACC agreements is a practical incentive. It allows IT and procurement teams to draw down on pre-committed cloud spending when adopting workforce tools, rather than treating them as a separate line item.
The integration also simplifies vendor management for Microsoft-centric organisations. Rather than maintaining separate billing relationships and procurement workflows for HR and payroll tools, customers can manage Deel alongside their broader Microsoft ecosystem from a single commercial interface.
Deel’s platform spans 150 countries
Deel has built its platform around the challenge of managing distributed workforces across multiple jurisdictions. The company offers payroll processing, HR management, benefits administration, compliance support, employee mobility services and device management across more than 150 countries.
The platform is supported by owned infrastructure and in-house teams rather than relying solely on third-party country partners, an approach the company positions as providing more direct control over compliance and service delivery in each market.
AI capabilities are embedded across the platform’s workflows, targeting the reduction of manual administrative work involved in managing global payroll and HR operations. The company frames this as freeing up HR and people teams to focus on strategic work rather than process-driven tasks.
Growing trend toward marketplace-based procurement
Deel’s move onto Microsoft Marketplace follows a wider pattern of SaaS and cloud service providers listing their products on hyperscaler marketplaces to reach enterprise buyers more efficiently.

For vendors, marketplace listings provide access to a built-in customer base and reduce the sales cycle by meeting buyers within the purchasing environments they already use. For customers, the model offers streamlined procurement, consolidated billing and the ability to leverage existing cloud commitments across a wider range of tools.
The listing is available to Microsoft customers globally. Further details are available at deel.com.
