Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
Datadog, a cloud application monitoring and security platform, has highlighted its advancements in Amazon Web Services (AWS) monitoring during AWS re:Invent. The company’s expanded product offerings aim to support customers across various technology stacks, including Ai/ML applications, serverless systems, and containerised environments.
Organisations such as AppFolio, Cash App, andsafe, Asana, and Twilio rely on Datadog’s integrations to enhance their AWS service monitoring. With more than 100 unique AWS integrations, Datadog positions itself as a key player in enterprise-scale observability.
Addressing Key Trends in Cloud Monitoring
Yanbing Li, Chief Product Officer at Datadog, highlighted the increasing demand for monitoring solutions in evolving tech landscapes.
“We continue to see companies adopt Datadog for observability as they navigate trends like Ai/ML, cloud migration, and serverless architectures,” Li said. “Organisations are seeking ways to better understand their infrastructure performance, cloud costs, and large language model usage.”
Datadog’s monitoring solutions span a wide range of AWS services, offering tools for optimising resource efficiency and ensuring reliability.
Enhanced AWS Integrations for AI/ML
Datadog’s integrations include specific features for Ai/ML services, enabling businesses to monitor, optimise, and scale their workloads. Key integrations include:
- AWS Trainium and Inferentia ML chip monitoring: These tools help users optimise model performance, enhance resource efficiency, and prevent interruptions in service.
- Amazon Q: This feature allows developers to query and interact with Datadog directly from the AWS Management Console using natural language.
- Amazon Bedrock: Teams can monitor Ai models, track usage, and evaluate performance through runtime metrics and logs.
- Amazon SageMaker: This integration provides real-time metrics, helping data scientists identify issues and improve the performance of machine learning jobs and endpoints.
Kyle Triplett, Vice President of Product at AppFolio, spoke about the impact of Datadog’s observability tools on their Ai-driven applications.
“The Datadog LLM Observability solution helps our team understand, debug, and evaluate our GenAi applications. It enables us to address real-world challenges, monitor response quality, and ensure positive user experiences,” Triplett said.
Real-World Applications of Datadog’s Tools
Datadog’s solutions are also proving valuable for companies like Cash App and andsafe. James Adams, Machine Learning Engineering Manager at Cash App, explained how the platform’s integrations have supported their Ai initiatives.
“We explored different hosted solutions, and SageMaker addressed all the challenges we faced. Datadog complements this with its Ai integrations, including SageMaker, which we rely on heavily,” Adams said.
andsafe, a cloud-native insurance provider, has also benefited from Datadog’s monitoring tools. Marcel Drechsler, Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer at andsafe, detailed how Datadog supports their microservices-based infrastructure on Amazon EKS.
“To monitor resource consumption, we utilise Datadog’s container monitoring tools. This has enabled us to reduce resource consumption and improve process speed,” Drechsler said.
