Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
CyberPower has expanded its Online S Series with two new uninterruptible power supply (UPS) models aimed at businesses and IT professionals requiring reliable power protection for critical infrastructure.
The two new models, the OLS2K2ERT2UH and the OLS3KERT2UH, use online double-conversion technology and feature a Power Factor of 1, a tiltable colour LCD and an integrated maintenance bypass.
The units are designed for environments where servers, storage, networking hardware, security systems and other equipment need protection from power disturbances that can lead to downtime, data loss or hardware damage.

Higher Usable Output
A key feature of the new models is their Power Factor of 1, which allows the UPS to deliver more usable power and support higher total watt loads compared to units with a lower power factor.
In practical terms, this means businesses can protect more of their critical load without needing to overspecify their UPS infrastructure.
The Technical Operations Manager for CyberPower Systems ANZ, Vince Mazzeo, explained that the models are intended to give businesses “more usable output, easier visibility and simplified maintenance, while ensuring the reliable, high-quality power that critical systems depend on.”
Zero-Transfer Time Protection
The use of online double-conversion technology means the UPS continuously regulates incoming power and delivers zero-transfer time to connected equipment. This protects against blackouts, brownouts, surges and other power disturbances without any momentary gap in supply.
For organisations running applications where even brief interruptions can cause problems, this approach provides a layer of continuity that offline or line-interactive UPS topologies do not offer.
Usability And Maintenance
CyberPower has put emphasis on the day-to-day usability of the new units. The tiltable colour LCD features a graphical interface for monitoring and configuration, and the screen can be angled upward to make it easier to read when the unit is rack-mounted at a low position.
The integrated maintenance bypass is another practical inclusion. It allows operators to switch connected equipment to utility power through bypass mode, meaning maintenance can be carried out on the UPS without shutting down the equipment it protects or the wider power system.
This is relevant for businesses that need to maintain uptime during routine servicing and cannot schedule extended outages for UPS maintenance.
Remote Monitoring And Scalability
Compatible models in the range feature a built-in Remote Cloud Card that connects to CyberPower’s PowerPanel Cloud platform. This provides access to real-time UPS data and remote management through a web portal or mobile app, which may be useful for IT teams managing distributed environments.
The Online S platform also supports parallel expansion, allowing multiple UPS units to be connected to increase capacity and achieve N+X power redundancy. This makes the range relevant for organisations planning for growth or looking to build additional resilience into their power infrastructure.
Rounding Out The Feature Set
The new models include relay-type dry contacts for UPS status monitoring, extended battery module auto-detection, an Emergency Power Off dry contact port and PowerPanel Management Software for power management and graceful system shutdown.
The OLS2K2ERT2UH and OLS3KERT2UH are available now through CyberPower’s Australian channel.
