Clio has launched its intelligent legal work platform, Clio Work, across New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong, marking its largest Asia-Pacific expansion to date.

The platform is designed to unify Ai-powered practice management with legal research tools, enabling solicitors to handle case files, deadlines and client communications within a single, context-aware system.

Denise Farmer, General Manager APAC at Clio, said the new markets were a logical extension for the company.

“We are bringing a true system of action to New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong,” Farmer said.

“These are markets that demand high standards of efficiency and accuracy. Our platform understands the unique context of every matter and empowers solicitors to turn information into strategy instantly.”

Clio Work operates differently from general-purpose Ai tools by combining firm-specific case data with verified legal authorities. It connects directly with Clio’s broader platform, allowing insights, research and draft documents to be managed inside one workflow.

Farmer said many firms still rely on disconnected systems that separate operations from legal research.

“Legal practitioners have long navigated a landscape of disconnected tools that separate their case files from their legal research. With Clio Work, we are closing that gap.”

Key Features Of The Platform

The Asia-Pacific version of Clio Work includes:

  • Context-Aware Intelligence: Automatically extracts key matter details from notes, emails and court dates to surface case-specific risks and insights.

  • Authoritative Legal Grounding: All Ai-generated outputs are tied to Clio Library, which the company claims is the world’s largest legal dataset across Commonwealth jurisdictions.

  • Seamless Workflow: Draft documents, client updates and research findings feed directly into firm workflows, removing the need to switch between tools.

Clio said the offering is purpose-built to support solicitors working under time and accuracy pressures, with legal references that are designed to be court-ready and compliant with local rules.

The company says legal professionals across APAC are increasingly seeking integrated systems that do more than organise tasks.

“This is a pivotal moment for the APAC legal market,” said Farmer.

“By integrating a tool that interprets intent and delivers legally grounded output, we are empowering practitioners to look up from their screens and focus on the human connections and high-value advocacy that define the best of the legal profession.”

Clio Work aims to redefine how legal services are delivered by supporting proactive, Ai-assisted workflows.
