Chinese PC maker, CHUWI, has unveiled the UniBox AI495 Pro, a compact mini workstation built around AMD’s Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 processor, codenamed Gorgon Halo, at IFA Berlin 2026.

The system is designed to run large language models locally, with CHUWI claiming it can handle models with up to 300 billion parameters at 4-bit quantisation, thanks to 192GB of unified LPDDR5x-8533 memory with up to 160GB allocatable as VRAM.

AMD categorises systems built on this class of processor as “Agent Computers”, reflecting a push towards local AI workloads that do not rely on cloud-based inference.

Processor And Graphics

The UniBox AI495 Pro is built on AMD’s Zen 5 CPU architecture, with 16 cores and 32 threads running at up to 5.2 GHz boost clock. The integrated Radeon 8065S GPU features 40 RDNA 3.5 graphics cores clocked at 3,000 MHz.

CHUWI claims the integrated GPU can outperform Nvidia’s RTX 4060 for 1080p gaming, though independent benchmarks have not yet been published.

The system delivers up to 131 TOPS of total platform AI compute, with the XDNA 2 NPU contributing up to 55 TOPS, meeting Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC requirements. The 192GB of LPDDR5x memory operates on a 256-bit bus with 273 GB/s bandwidth.

Compact Form Factor

The UniBox AI495 Pro fits into a chassis measuring 209.6 x 209.6 x 67mm, giving it a volume of approximately 2.9 litres. Despite the compact dimensions, the system includes a broad set of connectivity options.

These include dual 10Gbps RJ45 Ethernet ports, an OCuLink port, dual USB4 ports supporting up to 40Gbps speeds, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Storage comes via a 2TB SSD with three M.2 2280 PCIe x4 slots available. The system runs on a 240W power adapter and ships with Windows 11 Pro.

A Two-Model Line-Up

CHUWI is launching the UniBox as a two-model series. Alongside the AI495 Pro sits the UniBox AI395, which is powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, codenamed Strix Halo.

The AI395 shares the same 16-core, 32-thread Zen 5 architecture but with a slightly lower boost clock of 5.1 GHz. Its Radeon 8060S GPU also has 40 RDNA 3.5 cores but runs at 2,900 MHz rather than 3,000 MHz.

The AI395 model ships with up to 128GB of LPDDR5x-8000 memory on a 256-bit bus with 256 GB/s bandwidth, with up to 96GB allocatable as VRAM. Total AI compute sits at up to 126 TOPS, with 50 TOPS from the NPU. CHUWI claims the AI395 can run local LLMs with up to 235 billion parameters using mixture-of-experts and low-bit quantisation approaches.

Both models share the same chassis dimensions, 2TB storage configuration, 240W power supply, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and dual 10Gbps Ethernet connectivity.

Pricing And Availability

CHUWI has not yet disclosed pricing or availability for either model. The company indicated that both will be announced at a later date.
