Canva Integrates With Fusion Signage To Streamline Digital Screen Publishing

Australian digital signage software provider Fusion Signage has integrated with Canva, allowing users to design content in Canva and publish it directly to digital screens without having to download, re-upload or recreate files.

The integration connects Canva’s design platform with Fusion Signage’s screen management software, removing the manual steps that have traditionally sat between content creation and deployment to digital signage networks.

Fusion Signage runs more than 20,000 digital signage screens across Australia and New Zealand and is used by more than 5,000 businesses.

How It Works

The integration follows a two-step connection process. Users log into Fusion Signage, navigate to the Manage section and click Add, then Canva. This takes them to their Canva account. Once a design is ready, they click Return to Fusion Signage, where the Canva asset appears like any other media item.

From there, content can be added to playlists, updated at any time, scheduled and deployed to a single screen or across an entire network of thousands of screens.

Previously, Fusion Signage users who designed content in Canva had to follow a longer workflow. They would create their design in Canva, download the finished file, then manually upload it into Fusion Signage before scheduling and deploying it.

Removing Manual Steps

The integration removes several pain points: the need to download files from Canva, the manual upload into Fusion Signage, version control issues that arise from duplicate content libraries across multiple platforms and the need for additional design training.

Fusion Signage Managing Director James Ingram pointed to the development work behind the integration.

“That strength is underpinned by our highly capable development team, who have built the experience to be intuitive, efficient and reliable,” Ingram commented. “From the user’s perspective, however, the key point is much simpler: the integration works the way businesses expect it to work. It fits naturally into existing content habits rather than forcing users to change them.”

User Reactions

David Brummell, Operations Director at Fusion Signage partner and reseller Complete AV, tested the integration.

“I was surprised how simple and straightforward this integration makes it to create and publish content. Bringing the two platforms together is genius,” Brummell noted.

Rebecca Filling, Administration Manager at Adventure Park Geelong and a Fusion Signage user, described how the integration changes her team’s workflow.

“What I love most is how easy this makes things for us. We used to design templates in Canva, download them and then have to recreate editable versions in Fusion Signage. Now our team can edit directly in Canva as it is incredibly easy to connect Canva to Fusion Signage. We are and will definitely be using this integration in our workflow moving forward,” Filling commented.

Use Cases Across Industries

The integration has applications across multiple sectors where digital signage is used.

In retail, promotions can be rolled out faster across dozens or hundreds of locations while maintaining brand consistency. In hospitality, menus, specials and venue announcements can be updated more quickly and with less administrative effort.

In education, staff can create communications using a tool many already know, while Canva for Education makes the platform accessible to schools, teachers and students. In corporate settings, internal communications teams can keep workplace screens current without relying on external designers or complex workflows.

Bridging Content Creation And Distribution

The integration reflects a shift in how organisations handle digital signage. Content creation and content distribution have typically been treated as separate tasks, handled by different systems and slowed by repeated manual intervention.

By allowing Canva designs to move directly into digital signage workflows, the integration brings those two functions into a single connected process.

Ingram framed the value in operational terms.

“The result is a faster, simpler and more efficient digital signage workflow that helps organisations create better content and get it onto screens with less effort. In a category where speed, relevance and visual impact matter, the Canva and Fusion Signage integration gives users a practical new advantage that adds real and tangible value to their business.”

For teams managing large screen networks, multiple campaigns or frequent content changes, removing even a few minutes from every update adds up over time.

Availability

The integration is available now from within existing Fusion Signage accounts. Existing Canva users can connect their accounts immediately, while those not yet using Canva gain access to a design platform that allows users without formal design training to create screen content.

Fusion Signage is a Brisbane-based company that reports 99.99 per cent server uptime over its lifespan and an average support response time of under three minutes.
