IFS has signed a multi-year technology partnership with the Cadillac Formula 1 Team, marking a significant expansion of the industrial software vendor’s footprint into elite motorsport.

The agreement will see IFS technology embedded across core operational functions of the team as it gears up for its first Formula 1 season.

From Finance To The Garage Floor

The Cadillac F1 Team, which becomes the first new outfit to join the grid in more than ten years, began rolling out IFS systems before its entry into the championship was formally approved.

The initial implementation focused on financials and procurement systems, with the deployment later expanding to cover supply chain management, production, quality, inventory and engineering.

By providing real-time data and automation tools, IFS aims to help the team meet Formula 1’s strict technical and financial regulations, including the sport’s cost cap.

“IFS has been instrumental in helping Cadillac Formula 1 Team launch the first new team to enter Formula 1 for over a decade,” said Tyler Epp, Global Head of Commercial Strategy at the team.

“We decided to implement IFS early on in our journey – before we even had entry confirmed. It’s helped us rapidly scale our operations by providing tools to establish best practices, manage complexity and accelerate innovation,” he said.

“From supply chain to engineering, IFS software is helping us make smarter decisions so we can focus on what matters most – building a competitive car and delivering results on the track.”

Ai-Driven Agility Under Pressure

IFS Chief Executive Officer, Mark Moffat, said the deal demonstrates how industrial software can contribute to performance in extreme environments.

“Formula 1 is a sport where milliseconds matter, and technology can make the difference between winning and losing,” Moffat said.

“By embedding IFS into Cadillac Formula 1 Team’s operations, we’re helping the team gain greater agility, optimise resources and push the boundaries of performance.”

The IFS platform supports automation, inventory control and real-time decision-making, which Moffat said are critical in a sport governed by tight technical constraints and fast development cycles.

“We are proud to continue to support Cadillac Formula 1 on this journey from both a technical perspective, as well as with a multitude of brand activations,” he said.

Branding On And Off Track

IFS branding will appear across multiple team assets including race cars, drivers’ suits and official team apparel.

The exposure aligns IFS with one of the world’s fastest-growing sporting platforms, offering visibility in both racing and corporate technology circles.

Cadillac’s entry into Formula 1 follows a wave of interest from manufacturers in recent years, amid regulatory shifts aimed at sustainability and a growing global fan base.

The partnership adds IFS to the growing list of enterprise software vendors targeting motorsport teams to showcase their products in demanding, high-stakes environments.
