Boomi And Red Hat Team Up To Deliver Integrated Stack For Deploying Agentic AI At Enterprise Scale

Boomi and Red Hat have announced a collaboration to deliver a single, integrated stack for deploying agentic AI in production environments, targeting organisations that want to run AI agents on their own infrastructure while maintaining control over data sovereignty and costs.

The partnership brings together Boomi’s Agentstudio platform with Red Hat AI, aiming to give organisations an end-to-end solution for building, governing and orchestrating AI agents across business processes.

The fragmentation problem

The collaboration is framed as a response to a common challenge facing enterprises attempting to move AI projects into production. Building production-grade AI today typically means assembling disconnected vendor choices spanning agent builders, orchestration tools, governance platforms, model providers, integration middleware and security infrastructure.

That fragmentation can lead to data leaks, unpredictable costs and difficulty enforcing consistent governance across AI deployments.

Boomi and Red Hat argue that a unified stack can replace this patchwork approach, reducing complexity and lowering operational costs while keeping enterprise data within controlled environments.

“Every enterprise leader I talk to is asking the same question: ‘how do I get real AI ROI without losing control of my data, my security posture, or my budget?'” observed Steve Lucas, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Boomi. “The answer isn’t stitching together dozens of vendors; it’s having a unified platform. With Red Hat, we’re giving organisations the ability to activate their data, orchestrate AI across the business, and run it with enhanced security in their own environment at a cost that makes AI viable at scale.”

How the pieces fit together

The integrated solution is designed to address three layers of the agentic AI problem.

At the data layer, Boomi Agentstudio connects AI agents directly to live enterprise data across applications, systems and processes, rather than relying on sample data or demo workflows.

At the governance and orchestration layer, Boomi’s Agent Control Tower and Gateway establish deterministic guardrails to enforce policy and provide visibility into agent actions. Boomi’s orchestration coordinates agents to mitigate rogue execution and cost leakage, while Red Hat AI’s open source foundation and application observability services are designed to deliver continuous governance.

At the infrastructure layer, Red Hat AI provides a Kubernetes-native runtime for high-performance inferencing, security-optimised agents and integrated AI governance that can be deployed across hybrid cloud environments, including sovereign data centres. Boomi’s intelligent model router sits alongside this, assigning agent prompts to the appropriate model in real time based on task complexity and data sensitivity, with the goal of optimising costs.

Data sovereignty as a design principle

Data sovereignty is a recurring theme across the collaboration. By running AI workloads on an organisation’s own infrastructure rather than relying entirely on public cloud models, the approach is designed to keep sensitive enterprise data within controlled environments.

Mike Ferris, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Operations Officer at Red Hat, positioned the collaboration as addressing a structural challenge for enterprises scaling AI.

“The next era of the enterprise will be defined by those who can move AI from a centralised experiment to a distributed business reality,” Ferris explained. “By combining Red Hat’s enterprise open source AI foundation with Boomi’s agentic orchestration, we are helping organisations with the architectural sovereignty to lead in AI without compromising their data, their costs, or their future autonomy.”

Moving beyond pilots

The partnership reflects a broader trend across the enterprise software market, where vendors are increasingly focused on helping organisations move AI deployments from pilot projects to production systems that operate at scale.

The challenge for many enterprises has been bridging the gap between promising AI experiments and the governance, security and cost controls required to run those systems across real business processes. Fragmented tooling has been a persistent barrier, with organisations often needing to integrate multiple vendors just to get a single agentic workflow into production.

By combining Boomi’s data activation and agent orchestration capabilities with Red Hat’s open hybrid cloud infrastructure, the two companies are betting that a pre-integrated stack will lower the barrier to deploying AI agents that can operate reliably across complex enterprise environments.

The collaboration was unveiled at Red Hat Summit in Atlanta.
