Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
BlackBerry Limited has introduced CylanceMDR Pro, a managed detection and response (MDR) service leveraging an Open XDR platform powered by AI. This service aims to address the challenges modern cybersecurity teams face, such as limited resources and the need to defend against increasingly sophisticated adversaries.
CylanceMDR Pro is designed for businesses looking to enhance their cybersecurity without overhauling their existing security infrastructure. The comprehensive XDR architecture integrates seamlessly with existing tools, providing deep visibility across the IT infrastructure. With over 300 platform integrations, the solution transforms business data and applications into effective security sensors, detecting and preventing threats that other solutions might miss.
“Despite organisations investing significantly in personnel and technology, many haven’t seen a proportional improvement in their risk envelope. CylanceMDR Pro is a significant advancement for organisations seeking confidence in their cybersecurity posture,” said Nathan Jenniges, Senior Vice President and General Manager, BlackBerry Cybersecurity. “It is a single platform solution that is easy to deploy, ensuring that threat detection data is unified across endpoints, networks, cloud environments and beyond.”
Jenniges highlighted the growing threat landscape, noting a 250 per cent increase in unique attacks per minute over the past year, according to BlackBerry’s Global Threat Intelligence Report. “The effectiveness of any MDR depends on its underlying platform, its experts, and the full breadth of services delivered. Our AI-driven approach, combined with our expert security team, provides unmatched protection, allowing businesses to focus on their core activities.”
An Ecosystem with Ai at Its Core
CylanceMDR Pro integrates with all existing security tools, reducing the total cost of ownership by maximising current investments. The platform collects telemetry across all attack surfaces, including endpoint, network, cloud, SaaS, identity, and email. This allows it to distinguish attack signals from noise with high accuracy and respond rapidly to threats. Powered by Cylance AI, the longest-running predictive AI in the market, it outperforms other leading AIs in third-party tests. Cylance AI analyses telemetry for attack signals, prioritises and presents structured cases for faster human-led investigations, and proactively stops attacks before they cause damage.
Craig Robinson, Research Vice President of Security Services at IDC, praised the new service. “The cybersecurity landscape is complicated. Being able to quickly onboard and use what is already in place is a huge benefit for any organisation, whether SMB or enterprise, that needs to solve its security problems fast. Incorporating multiple offerings can be challenging, but BlackBerry simplifies this with CylanceMDR Pro,” he said.
CylanceMDR Pro will be available from July 31, 2024. For more information, visit www.blackberry.com/cylancemdrpro.
