Barracuda Expands Partner Program With New Demand Generation Tools And Training Pathways

Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements

Cybersecurity vendor Barracuda Networks has updated its Partner Success Program with new demand generation capabilities, an expanded training and certification initiative and changes to its partner portal designed to reduce friction for MSPs and channel partners.

The updates build on a broader modernisation of Barracuda’s partner program and are aimed at helping partners create pipeline, validate technical expertise and scale their managed services businesses.

Dan McLean, Country Manager for ANZ at Barracuda, outlined the reasoning behind the changes.

“Our partners tell us they want two things: more opportunities and simpler ways to grow their business. These investments help partners build market visibility, strengthen their expertise and engage customers more effectively, while reducing the complexity of marketing and co-selling activities,” McLean explained.

“For partners across Australia and New Zealand, it’s about creating practical pathways to growth and delivering stronger outcomes for customers.”

Through-Channel Marketing Automation

A central component of the update is a new through-channel marketing automation platform that supports co-branded campaigns, social and email syndication and turnkey execution options described by Barracuda as “do-it-for-me” services.

The platform is designed to give partners access to demand generation tools without requiring them to build and manage marketing campaigns from scratch. Barracuda is positioning the capability as a way to accelerate pipeline creation and generate qualified opportunities through the channel.

A forthcoming Partner Locator tool will also be introduced, connecting customers directly with certified Barracuda partners. The company expects the tool to increase partner visibility and drive what it describes as high-intent opportunities to partners who have completed relevant certifications.

Mastery Program Expansion

Barracuda has expanded its Mastery Program, which was launched earlier this year, with new role-based learning pathways, technical labs and badges covering both sales and technical competencies.

The badges are intended to validate partner expertise across Barracuda’s product portfolio and give partners a way to differentiate themselves in competitive sales situations.

Sean Furman, President at STF Consulting, pointed to the practical impact of the expanded training program.

“Barracuda’s expanded training, certifications and partner recognition programs give us the tools to build expertise and stand out in a crowded market,” Furman stated. “These investments elevate our credibility as a strategic advisor and translate directly into greater customer value, stronger retention and new opportunities to grow high-margin recurring revenue.”

Portal And Activation Changes

The partner portal has been updated with new role-based segmentation and automation features. Barracuda has introduced a guided journey within the portal designed to help partners get started with activities such as co-selling, with the goal of reducing the time between onboarding and generating revenue.

The company described the portal changes as aimed at simplifying activation and accelerating time to value for partners who are either new to Barracuda or expanding their engagement with the vendor’s product set.

BarracudaONE Platform Integration

Barracuda has framed the partner program updates as complementary to its AI-powered BarracudaONE cyber resilience platform, which spans email security, data protection, application security, network security and managed XDR.

The company indicated the new partner tools are designed to create a more connected experience across customer engagement, enablement and growth activities, helping partners move from identifying opportunities to delivering outcomes for customers.

Michelle Hodges, Senior Vice President of Global Channels and Alliances at Barracuda, described the updates as part of a broader commitment to the channel.

“At Barracuda, our partners are at the centre of every decision we make, from product innovation to go-to-market execution,” Hodges remarked. “We’re creating more opportunities for partners to engage customers, sharpen differentiation and grow their business. These enhancements reflect our ongoing commitment and our belief that partner success drives superior customer outcomes.”
