Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
Asus Republic of Gamers has announced the upcoming release of the ROG Strix GS-BE18000, a high-capacity Wi-Fi 7 gaming router designed for users seeking low-latency connectivity, wired bandwidth and expanded smart home control.
Set for availability in October across Australia and New Zealand, the ROG Strix GS-BE18000 supports tri-band Wi-Fi 7 throughput of up to 18000Mbps and includes a total wired capacity of 20G via eight Ethernet ports.
Two of those ports are dedicated to gaming traffic and prioritise data automatically, removing the need for manual setup when using latency-sensitive applications.
Engineered For Speed And Coverage
The device features a quad-core 2.0GHz processor with dedicated cooling to handle bandwidth loads across gaming, smart home and streaming use cases. Eight internal antennas and six copper tubes support wireless coverage of up to 3,300 square feet.
Asus says its Front-End Modules help eliminate wireless dead zones and enhance network stability, particularly in larger or multi-level homes.
“The GS-BE18000 is built for serious gamers and smart home users who want low latency and full control over their network environment,” said an Asus spokesperson. “The hardware is designed to deliver both speed and reliability without needing complex configuration.”
Smart Home Integration And Device Isolation
The router includes Smart Home Master technology, which allows for the creation of multiple SSIDs for segmented networks. Users can isolate gaming devices, IoT systems or children’s devices to separate networks using a mobile app or web interface.
The GS-BE18000 also supports VPN connections and offers a one-tap setup for secured browsing and regional content access, including gaming and streaming services.
Security And Control
Asus has integrated its AiProtection Pro security suite into the router. This provides automated threat detection, one-tap scanning and tools to block malicious websites and phishing attempts.
The router’s RGB-lit ROG logo can be customised, offering visual feedback as well as an aesthetic fit for gaming setups. The design also retains visual presence even when RGB lighting is disabled.
Availability
The Asus ROG Strix GS-BE18000 will be available in Australia and New Zealand from October 2025. Pricing has not yet been confirmed. Interested customers are advised to contact their local Asus representative for further details. More information about Asus networking products can be found at www.asus.com.
