Brisbane-based digital signing and identity verification provider Annature has launched ASIC Payments, a new product aimed at simplifying corporate compliance fees for accounting firms and company directors.
The product, which follows a two-month beta program that processed more than $150,000 in live transactions, is the first release in Annature’s expanding payments suite.
Closing A Common Gap
Annature said ASIC Payments addresses a long-standing pain point in annual statement processing. Traditionally, firms send ASIC annual review documents to company directors and then rely on clients to pay fees on time. Missed payments often lead to late penalties, with accountants bearing the brunt of complaints.
The new system integrates payment collection into the digital signing process. Company directors can now sign their solvency resolution and pay ASIC at the same point, without needing BPAY, trust accounts or manual follow-ups. Payments are settled directly with ASIC.
“Signing has always been the easy part. The disjointed payment experience is what we’ve fixed,” said Corey Cacic, Chief Executive at Annature. “We prompt clients to pay at the exact moment they sign, creating a seamless experience and reducing the compliance burden on firms.”
Pilot Program Feedback
Annature said feedback from Australian accounting firms during the pilot phase helped shape the product. Early users highlighted the benefit of embedding payments into existing compliance workflows, particularly for firms managing hundreds or thousands of entities.
The launch comes as automation across ASIC processes becomes a focus for firms seeking to reduce administrative overhead and improve client experience.
Payments Roadmap
ASIC Payments is built on the same infrastructure as Annature’s eSigning and identity verification products. It can be accessed via dashboard or API, making it suitable for both small practices and larger integrators.
“This launch marks the beginning of our broader roadmap for payments,” Cacic said. “Our vision is to make client-authorised transactions – whether to ASIC or elsewhere – simple, compliant and integrated into the tools professionals already use.”
Availability
ASIC Payments is now available to all eligible Annature customers. The company confirmed further phases of its payments suite are already in development, with a focus on reducing friction in document and payment workflows.
