Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
Amplitude has announced a series of AI agents designed to continuously analyse product usage, identify patterns and recommend actions to teams in real time.
The analytics company said the launch is aimed at helping organisations close the gap between shipping software and understanding what to build next.
The announcement comes as AI coding assistants from companies including Anthropic, OpenAI, Cursor and Lovable have made it faster and easier to create software. Amplitude argues that as teams ship features more quickly than they can evaluate what is working for users, the need for AI-driven behavioural analytics tools has grown.
A shift in how analytics operates
Amplitude Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Spenser Skates, said the company sees the launch as a turning point for the analytics category.
“We’re entering a new era of analytics – one where AI can monitor your product around the clock, and free up your team to focus on improving the experience,” Skates said.
“Today, we’re launching the first fully autonomous analytics agent. It’s going to reinvent how product decisions get made.”
The release includes a Global Agent, four specialised agents and updates to Amplitude’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations. Together, the tools are intended to bring behavioural data into the environments where teams already work, including tools from Anthropic, OpenAI, Cursor, Figma, Lovable, Notion and GitHub.
Global Agent handles complex questions
The Global Agent allows teams to ask complex questions in plain language and receive answers drawn from their product data. According to Amplitude, the agent can analyse data, build dashboards, investigate root causes and explain what is driving changes across funnels, experiments, segments and customer journeys.
It then recommends next steps and can take action directly within the Amplitude platform.
The company said the goal is to allow organisations of all sizes to move from insight to action in minutes rather than months.
Four specialised agents target common bottlenecks
Alongside the Global Agent, Amplitude has launched four specialised agents, each designed to handle tasks that typically consume significant time for product teams.
The Dashboard Monitoring Agent detects meaningful metric changes within hours, investigates the causes and delivers insights and recommended actions via Slack or email.
The Session Replay Agent reviews hundreds of user sessions on an ongoing basis, identifies friction points, quantifies revenue impact and recommends specific fixes.
The Web Experimentation Agent designs and launches experiments, analyses results and makes rollout or iteration decisions. Amplitude said the agent keeps a human in the loop throughout the process.
The AI Feedback Agent takes unstructured feedback from surveys and support tickets and turns it into actionable insights by mapping themes to actual user behaviour.

Built for behavioural analytics
Amplitude said its agents differ from AI tools that query a data warehouse because they operate inside a system that is purpose-built for behavioural analytics. The company claims this means the agents understand context rather than just data, which it says leads to clearer and more actionable insights.
The platform’s MCP integrations are designed to extend behavioural data across a range of workflows and tools.
In the AI assistant category, teams can use Claude or ChatGPT to summarise user behaviour, pull charts and answer product or campaign questions using Amplitude data.
For development workflows, teams can validate, debug and track impact with product context inside Cursor or Claude Code. Behavioural context can be added to GitHub pull requests, and AI features can be built and shipped with integrated product insights in AWS Kiro.
In design and prototyping, Lovable concepts can be validated and refined with product performance and feedback data. User friction can be identified and data-backed prototypes generated in Figma Make.
For product and collaboration use cases, Notion agents can analyse and surface product opportunities, while Amplitude charts and analytics can be made searchable in Atlassian Rovo.
In sales and engagement, behavioural signals can be used to personalise messaging and targeting in Outreach.
Early customers report results
Several early customers and partners have already begun using the platform.
Takashi Suzuki, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Data Platform Department at NTT DOCOMO, said Amplitude had helped the company scale self-serve analytics to more than 1,000 active users.
“Amplitude has helped NTT DOCOMO scale self-serve analytics to more than 1,000 active users and significantly reduce the time required to analyse campaign effectiveness,” Suzuki said.
“With Amplitude AI Agents, our teams can streamline analysis directly from existing dashboards, helping us move faster while improving conversion rates and lowering cost per acquisition.”
Matias Caratti, Product Shipping Supervisor at Mercado Libre, said the platform had changed the way his team accesses and uses data.
“Increasing our users required more than just access to data. It required structure and automation,” Caratti said.
“Dashboards provided a single source of truth, and AI Agents enabled us to find data on our own. We didn’t have to rely on manual reports, and we were provided with automatic insights on funnel performance, countries with the best conversion and fluctuations in contact rate.”
Joshua Ma, Engineering Lead at Cursor, said the integration with Amplitude brings user insights directly into the development environment; “Amplitude MCP and Skills bring user insights directly into agent context in Cursor. This allows teams to quickly ship features, measure impact and build smarter experiments for the next release.”
