AMD has announced changes to its global channel strategy, unveiling the restructured AMD Partner Network (APN). The new program consolidates sales training, marketing resources and incentive structures into a centralised platform for resellers, OEMs and distributors.
The company said the updated program is designed to support the ecosystem of partners who bring its CPUs, GPUs and Ai accelerators to businesses of all sizes.
Program Focus
AMD said the APN will serve as a single repository for enablement tools, marketing content and operations information, while providing dashboards for incentive management.
Resources include the AMD Arena training program, Meet the Experts webinar series, regular newsletters and a seller toolkit. These will be aimed at helping partners communicate the value of AMD products across client, server and cloud markets.
Membership will be structured into tiers, with Silver, Gold and Platinum partners gaining access to expanded benefits. All members will be able to access on-demand certification programs with curated learning paths, leading to credentials that can be shared publicly.
Industry Context
The updated channel framework comes as AMD continues to grow its presence in client and server markets. Since the introduction of Ryzen, EPYC and Threadripper CPUs in 2017, the company has increased both market share and revenue.
AMD said the Partner Network is intended to extend the advantages of co-development into the sales and marketing environment, ensuring partners can align the company’s technology platforms with customer requirements.
An AMD spokesperson said the changes reflect a commitment to closer collaboration.
“The APN is designed to give partners the tools they need to demonstrate value to their customers. By combining training, marketing and certification into a single program, we can help resellers and integrators maximise opportunities in a competitive market.”
Investment In Channel Ecosystem
According to AMD, the company has engaged 520 partners across its portfolios and has committed to a 40 per cent year-on-year increase in channel investment.
The program’s tiered model includes co-marketing opportunities and early access to strategic initiatives for higher-level partners. Training certifications are designed to validate technical knowledge while also providing marketing assets such as badges that can be shared on platforms like LinkedIn.
Shifts In Partner Collaboration
The company pointed to broader shifts in the industry over recent decades, from vertical integration to open standards, and now towards closer collaboration between hardware and software development. AMD said the APN reflects this trend, expanding the concept of co-development to include channel partners who translate technology into solutions for end customers.
The program is positioned as both an operational tool and a framework for long-term cooperation.
“The Partner Network is about more than product promotion,” the spokesperson said. “It’s about ensuring that the value of AMD technology is clearly understood and well positioned in every customer conversation.”
Looking Ahead
AMD said the APN will play a central role in how it engages with its global partner ecosystem, ensuring consistent resources across markets and helping partners deliver value in areas from PC integration to large-scale server deployments.
