Australian technology enablement company, Advantai Group, has appointed two senior executives to lead its Prvidr and Staqr businesses as the group scales its presence across the Trans-Tasman telecommunications market.
Ben Dobbin (main image) has been named Chief Operating Officer of Prvidr, the group’s managed services arm, while Julian Dell (pictured below) takes on the role of Chief Technology Officer at Staqr, its software platform for telco and technology service providers.
The appointments come as Advantai Group – the company behind Prvidr, Staqr and Fastter – builds on its long-standing partnership with Optus and an exclusive deal with One NZ.

Growing demand from established brands
Chief Executive Officer of Advantai Group, David Joss, told media the hires reflect growing demand from established brands seeking to offer mobile plans to their customers.
“Ben and Julian bring exactly the depth of operational and technical leadership we need to respond to market growth and the increasing desire for established brands to offer mobile plans to their customers,” he explained.
Joss added that Dell will lead the launch of the group’s newest MVNO partners onto Staqr, its next-generation enablement platform, and oversee the technology transition of its established retail brands.
Dobbin, meanwhile, will draw on his experience in scaling operations and stakeholder management across some of Australia’s largest MVNOs – spanning the grocery, youth and retail sectors – to support the growth of existing clients and the onboarding of new partners.
“Strengthening our leadership team in operations and technology now means Prvidr and Staqr are further equipped to support clients on both sides of the Tasman,” Joss outlined.
Dobbin brings 15 years of telco and tech experience
Dobbin joins Prvidr with more than 15 years of experience across the telecommunications and technology sector.
He has held senior operational leadership roles including General Manager of Enablement at Symbio and General Manager of Operations and Technology at Uniti Group. He also held operations leadership positions at Fone Dynamics, MNF Group and Telcoinabox.
In his new role, Dobbin will be responsible for ensuring existing clients continue to grow and new partners enter the market successfully.
Dell draws on three decades of engineering and operations
Dell joins Staqr with more than 30 years of technology, engineering and operations experience.
He has previously served as Chief Technology Officer at Encore Group Holdings, Humanforce, Brighte and Oroton Group. He also spent eight years at amaysim Australia in senior technology and operations leadership roles, including stints as both Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
At Staqr, Dell will oversee the platform that underpins the launch and operation of MVNO services for the group’s partners.
Trans-Tasman expansion
The appointments reinforce Advantai Group’s investment in operational and technical capability across Australia and New Zealand as the company continues to grow its footprint on both sides of the Tasman.
