Acer has added a new monitor to its Predator gaming display lineup, the XB273K 3D, a 27-inch 4K panel that combines 3D eye-tracking technology with an onboard AI model capable of converting standard 2D game content into 3D visuals in real time.
The monitor is scheduled for Australian availability in the fourth quarter of 2026, with a starting price of $2,499. It was presented at Computex 2026 in Taipei as part of Acer’s broader gaming hardware showcase.
How The 3D Conversion Works
The central feature of the Predator XB273K 3D is its ability to generate 3D visuals from games and content that were not natively designed for 3D display. The monitor includes a local AI model that runs onboard and leverages the graphics processing capabilities of a connected PC to transform standard 2D content into 3D.
This approach means that gamers do not need to wait for developers to release native 3D versions of their titles. The AI handles the depth mapping and conversion, adding dimensionality to environments, characters and action sequences in supported games.
The monitor uses 3D eye-tracking technology to deliver the 3D effect without requiring the user to wear dedicated glasses. The eye-tracking system follows the viewer’s position and adjusts the 3D output accordingly, maintaining the depth effect as the user moves.
SpatialLabs 3D Hub App
Alongside the hardware, Acer is debuting the SpatialLabs 3D Hub app, a companion application that serves as the control interface for the monitor’s 3D capabilities.
The app allows users to adjust 3D settings and modes, synchronise connected devices and access a library of games that support native 3D rendering on the display. For titles with native 3D support, the monitor can render environments and gameplay with full 3D depth rather than relying on the AI conversion pipeline.
The app also provides the interface for switching between 2D and 3D modes, giving users control over when the 3D effect is active. For competitive gaming scenarios where response time and visual clarity are priorities over depth effects, users can run the monitor in standard 2D mode at its full 4K resolution and 180 Hz refresh rate.
Display Specifications
Beyond the 3D capabilities, the Predator XB273K 3D is built around an IPS panel running at 3840 x 2160 resolution with a 180 Hz refresh rate over both HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 connections.
The monitor offers a 1ms response time (0.5ms minimum, grey-to-grey), 400 nits of brightness and 95 per cent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. It supports 1.07 billion colours through 8-bit processing with frame rate control dithering to simulate 10-bit colour depth.
The contrast ratio is listed at 100,000,000:1 using Acer’s adaptive contrast management technology. Viewing angles are rated at 178 degrees in both horizontal and vertical orientations.
Anti-Tearing Technology
The monitor supports both AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-SYNC Compatible adaptive sync technologies, allowing it to work with graphics cards from either manufacturer to eliminate screen tearing during gameplay.
Adaptive sync technology matches the monitor’s refresh rate to the output frame rate of the graphics card, preventing the visual artefacts that occur when those two rates fall out of alignment. Supporting both AMD and Nvidia implementations means the monitor is compatible with the full range of current-generation gaming GPUs.
Connectivity And Ergonomics
The Predator XB273K 3D includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 input, two USB 3.2 ports and a USB-B upstream connection. It also includes built-in speakers rated at 5 watts per channel and an audio output jack.
The stand offers tilt adjustment from minus 5 degrees to 25 degrees, 20 degrees of swivel in each direction, 150mm of height adjustment and a 90-degree pivot for portrait orientation. VESA mounting is supported via a 100 x 100mm pattern for users who prefer a monitor arm or wall mount.

The display uses a matte surface treatment to reduce reflections, and draws power through an internal supply accepting 100 to 240 volts.
